I'm going to the Riverbats game tomorrow. My fiancee won a silent auction to throw out the first pitch at a game and gave it to my son as a graduation present. Any suggestions on what to do at the ballpark?

Usually when I go there is more talent to watch and I haven't ventured around the park to much...With this being one of their worst teams in years, I don't know really what there is to do at the park but I'm sure you will find something...At least you will be able to watch Didi and Henry Rodriguez...Hopefully you get to see Donnie Joseph close the game as well, he has been lights out...Also look out for Perez and Phipps as they have came around lately with the bat...I know that it is one of the nicest ballparks in all of the minor leagues...The last time I was down there for a game I sat down the 3rd base line and got 4 foul balls in one game, so I will say if your sitting down one of the lines pay attention...

Lville-Didi Gregorius went 2-3 with a walk, solo HR (4) and 2 runs...Felix Perez went 3-4 with a double and RBI...Will Ohman threw a shutout inning with 2 strikeouts...Donnie Joseph struck out the side to pick up the save...Didi hit just one home run in 81 games for Pensacola, he has 3 in 13 games with Louisville...After a slow start and missing some time with an injury, Felix Perez has hit .329 between June and July.

Pensacola-Billy Hamilton went 1-3 with a walk...Ryan LaMarre went 2-4 with a solo HR (5) and a steal (24)...Donald Lutz went 2-4.

Bakersfield-Stephen Hunt went 2-2 with 2 walks...Steve Selsky went 2-4.

Billings-Beau Amaral went 3-5 with 2 doubles, an RBI and a run...Drew Cisco threw 5 shutout innings with 4 strikeouts.

I see where Tony C got hit around pretty good last night.

Thanks, I've been there once but it was back in 2002 so I didn't know if there had been many changes since then. I'm not sure where our seats are, they were part of the package.

Not a ton of changes in the park itself since then, but make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there----seems to be more roads closed around downtown than open. Attendance has been down this year due to 1) Terrible heat, 2) Bad team; 3) Traffic issues, but Friday nights have still had decent crowds, in part due to Fireworks every week.

Robert Stephensons Dayton Debut...5IP, 1H, 0ER, 2BB, 6Ks...Not bad at all, he has electric stuff...First batter of the game, 96, 97, Breaking Ball K...Struck out the side in the 1st, topped out at 101MPH...Showed a sharp breaking ball and went to a 85-86 MPH change a little as the game went on...He was cruising in the upper 90's all night...Hes 19 years old and the Reds 1st Rounder from a year ago...

Didn't Stephenson only throw as hard as 97 in high school?

He has bulked up a bit since high school and also got more leg drive towards the plate in addition to professional instruction...He still only sits mid 90's still but once or twice a game he has been dialing it up to triple digits...He has a hammer of a breaking ball as well...
