Pensacola-Billy Hamilton went 1-4 with a walk, run and a steal (110)...Ryan LaMarre went 2-3 with a double, steal (23) and an RBI...Donald Lutz hit his first AA HR in his first at bat...Tucker Barnhart went 1-4 with a walk and an RBI...David Vidal went 1-3 with a solo HR (12)...Miguel Rojas went 2-5.

The Reds won an extra 1st Round pick in next years draft during the Competitive Balance Lottery today...They will have pick #36 Overall...Next years draft should be pretty deep and it's never a bad thing to have an extra pick, deep or not...The pick is also trade-able...

Minor League Prospect Note: Ryan Wright, 2B, Cincinnati Reds

 

**Keep an eye on Cincinnati Reds second base prospect Ryan Wright. He's been very hot lately for Low-A Dayton in the Midwest League, hitting .368/.400/.711 with three homers in his last 10 games, leading to an overall line of .309/.358/.459 on the season. He's also stolen 14 bases in 15 attempts, and while he's not a walk machine (24 free passes), he doesn't strike out very often (39 in 314 at-bats).

Lville-Denis Phipps went 2-5 with a double and a run...Didi Gregorius went 1-3 with a run...Mike Costanzo went 2-4 with an RBI...Felix Perez went 1-4 with a run...Corky Miller went 3-4 with a double, HR (6) and 2 RBI...Sean Gallagher allowed 2 runs in 7 innings with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts...JJ Hoover threw 2 shutout innings with a walk and 3 strikeouts...

 

Bakersfield-Steve Selsky went 2-4 with a walk and RBI...Juan Duran went 1-4 with a double, walk and a run...Chris Berset went 3-5 with a double and 2 runs...Niko Vasquez went 1-4 with a triple, RBI, walk and 2 runs...Devin Lohman went 3-4 with an RBI and a run.

Lville-Didi Gregorius went 2-4 with a HR (3) and 3 RBI...Henry Rodriguez went 2-4 with a run, In 15 AAA Games he is now Batting .333 with a Double, 2 HR's, 9 RBIs, 2 SBs and a .344 OBP...Todd Redmond threw 7 shutout innings with a walk and 8 strikeouts, very nice Reds debut for him...

 

Pensacola-Ryan LaMarre went 2-4 with a solo HR (4)...Donald Lutz went 1-4 with a double and a run...Billy Hamilton went 1-1 with an RBI as a pinch hitter...JC Sulbaran went 1-2 with a triple and RBI at the plate. He allowed 2 runs in 5 innings on the mound with a walk and 7 strikeouts, he leads the league in Strikeouts...

Bakersfield-Theo Bowe went 1-4 with a double, walk and 2 runs...Steve Selsky went 3-5 with 2 RBI and a run...Juan Duran went 1-4 with a walk and a run...Niko Vasquez went 2-5 with a solo HR (4).

 

Billings-Brandon Dailey went 2-4 with an RBI and a run...Jesse Winker went 1-3 with a walk...Seth Mejias-Brean went 2-4 with 2 RBI...Robert Stephenson allowed a run in 5 innings with 4 strikeouts, he lowered his ERA to 2.05, which is tied for 2nd in the league. He pushed his strikeout total to 37, which leads the league.

Through 10 Games at the AA level Billy Hamilton is hitting .281, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 8 BB to 7 K and 8 SB...His OBP is .425 which is Higher than it was at A+ and his SLG % is .469 which is also Higher and he has actually started out quite cold I suspect he will start to hit a little more...

3-4 today got the average up to. 333 now through 11 games, more walks than strikeouts...
