July 5, 201214 yr Author Sickels on Lotzkar: Kyle Lotzkar, RHP, Reds: The Reds drafted Lotzkar in the supplemental first round in 2007 from Delta, British Columbia, Canada. His career has been slowed by injuries but he is still just 22 years old. At his best he has a low 90s fastball with a nasty curveball. He has a 4.72 ERA in Double-A this year, but with a 68/29 K/BB ratio in 55 innings. 2012 MLB All-Star Futures Game Preview: World Team Pitchers - Minor League Ball
July 5, 201214 yr After looking at his stats, any reason why Henry Rodriguez isn't a higher ranked prospect? Guy seems to be able to hit at every stop, has a solid (not great) OBP, and has a very low strikeout rate.
July 5, 201214 yr Author After looking at his stats, any reason why Henry Rodriguez isn't a higher ranked prospect? Guy seems to be able to hit at every stop, has a solid (not great) OBP, and has a very low strikeout rate. Converted 2nd Baseman and many of the experts so he doesnt have the power to play 3rd...He is a pretty good fielder at 3rd though and a switch hitter..He will not hit many HRs but he does hit the ball all over the field...He is the most professional batter right now that the Reds have to call on out of the farm..He is definitely underrated due to his small stature and lack of power...I have heard that if he can pick up where he left off prior to his injury he will probably crack Sickels Top 120 list at the end of the season...He should be in contention for 3rd Base next year I would think as long he doesnt get traded away...
July 6, 201214 yr Author Henry Rodriguez is 3-5 with 3 RBI's and a HR in his first game at the AAA level so far tonight...
