We admit the upcoming promotion for the next Reds series was unfortunately misguided with respect to message, and we are truly sorry and apologize if we've offended any fans.

Our intention was to help cheer on our Reds and give visiting Cubs fans a taste of what makes Cincinnati so special, showcasing our great new riverfront and our city and to bring positive exposure to it. It was not intended to root for the away team, and we apologize if it was taken that way. We are Reds fans through and through. We are going to call this promotional event what it was truly intended to be "a rally for our Reds.

I will be honest, this will deter me from wanting to spend money there, especially since I wasn't as excited as most about it anyway. Would I have gone there often? No, but if friends wanted to stop in before or after a game, I'm going to push that we visit Holy Grail or Toby Keith's bar instead because of this. Gives me more of a persuasive argument to go somewhere I'd rather visit, and knowing most of my buddies...they will now feel the same.

Is that going to affect them, probably not really. I'm sure the main people who think like me might have went their once a year anyway. But, either way its money they won't be getting from me/us...equaling bad marketing.

I was looking forward to checking out the Lager House, but I'll be heading another way instead. I'll even tolerate terrible music over Cubs fans.

The fans are still going off on them in the comments section.

Both of their "apologies" were pretty weak. No one's buying their excuse. Just admit it was a bad move, apologize, and try to make it right. Don't keep insulting people more by acting like this was really a "Rally for the Reds" that was just misconstrued. It must be amateur hour in their office.

Christian Moerlein's may have disrespected the Reds but Toby Keith has disrespected all that is decent...

I think I'll take my future business to the Holy Grail which has a banner hanging over the entrance "Thanking Bob, Phil, Walt, and most of all, our Red for life....Joey!".

With the other suitable options available within the same block (Holy Grail, Toby, Johnny Rockets, Tin Roof (soon), etc.), this place has officially lost my business for the foreseeable future.

Is this another one of those times where I am supposed to muster up anger over nothing? Sort of like real UK fans should stop using UPS?

Uh, pass.

Thats what I said, not a big deal really IMO.

Not getting into this debate in this thread haha! It's just a good bar right next to the stadium.

Haha true. I'm definitely not mad. I just never really wanted to go there to begin with, so now I have a lame excuse not too.

I usually stay on the south side of the river for pre/post game festivities anyway, unless I'm heading up the hill (Mt. Adams.)

Marketing idea for next fall: "Come to the Ft. Thomas Pub, Wooten Field East." :D

Doubt it, like I said how many people actually saw it?

Fox news had a live report this morning!

I'd avoid a CUBS hangout for the series just so I could hang out with other REDS fans, but I dont think it will hurt in the long run.

The In-Between is known as Wrigley South in Cincinnati. I remember a few years back when the Reds were in contention, and the Cubs came into town late in the season, the In-Between covered their Reds' signs with Cubs signs. Castellini was furious since his business is really the only thing that keeps In-Between afloat. He asked his employees to not do business with In-Between.
