Christian Moerlein Lager House, Wrigley South Ad

Featured Replies

I don't have a problem with it at all.

In fact, I hope this keeps some people away from the Lager House so I don't have to wait for a table next time I go.

The In-Between is known as Wrigley South in Cincinnati. I remember a few years back when the Reds were in contention, and the Cubs came into town late in the season, the In-Between covered their Reds' signs with Cubs signs. Castellini was furious since his business is really the only thing that keeps In-Between afloat. He asked his employees to not do business with In-Between.

I heard from a lil birdie that Phil Castellini went over and had a chat with Greg Hardman over this gaffe. I'm sure they had a nice discussion and all is peachy now. IMO..it was a dumb ad and obviously not well thought out. They put an apology out so let's drink a beer and move on. The place is fantastic. I heard that they will be moving the party in the park events up towards The Banks area in the near future. Anyone else heard that? Makes a lot of sense. The Smale Riverfront Park on the river is having it's Phase 1 grand opening gala Friday May 18th. Check it out it looks spectacular. That entire area is tremendous now.

Smale Riverfront Park - Why Smale Riverfront Park?

Party in the Park starts 5/16 on Wednesdays at Yeatman's Cove

They have also added a Thursday event at the Freedom Way at The Banks area that starts on 5/31

Lager house stepped in it on this one. Bad ad, bad idea in general. My guess is they were banking on Reds fans sitting this one out, based on the team's slow start, and typical early May attendance at home.

Bad concept because the team got a hot, and the Reds are kind of cache around town right now.

Stepped in it again with the apology. Well written, but you shouldn't try to tell people they read it wrong. Their perception is your reality. The apology didn't really fix that.

The place has some PR work to do.

How dare they use over 300 trees, from Cleveland of all places! They should be ashamed! Just doing it to get the people from Cleveland to visit the park after games Vs the Indians and Browns! :irked::p
