Filled 2 big needs with guys that look to be solid but I don't know much about Zietler. I like it.

Zeitler is right there with Decastro at the top of the list for guards.

Which explains why they made the trade. I am sure they were confident Zeitler would still be there at 27. That was the top end of where he was projected to go in the draft.

There aren't many highlights of Zeitler but watch what is available and you'll be impressed. He pushes the pile and it very good at pull blocking. His blocking grades are very impressive. Both could be busts but they filled needs with two quality players and have a ton of picks left.

Great move we get an extra pick and get a good runner blocker. I would take a Wisconsin lineman before I took a Stanford lineman. Wisconsin is know for running the ball with the big lineman Zeitler will be a good RG.

Can't really argue with what they did last night. Took the CB they needed/wanted and got a very good OL.

 

I didn't like that Pittsburgh ended up with DeCastro. He's going to be very good. But I have to agree with UKfan that taking a Big Ten OL is probably better than a PAC 10 OL.

Yes the Pac 10 offensive linemen that the Bengals have had in the past were big busts . Couple of guys named Munoz (USC ) and Montoya ( UCLA )

I don't get into the draft too much compared to a lot of my friends (probably because I don't watch a ton of college football) but this was my exact statement last night as well. I feel like a Wisconsin lineman would fit in and be much better for what the Bengals are probably looking to do.

Saw last night that Zeitler scored a 40 on the Wonderlic. That's the kinda guy I want protecting the QB.

 

All in all, I liked what they did. Would've preferred DeCastro over Zeitler, but I'm very happy they addressed two big needs and didn't screw up and go WR.

You were right, at first I wouldn't have minded them taking a WR. However after thinking about it, you did convince me that addressing the areas that they did was more important! See I can admit it when someone else is right.

 

However I still would like to see them get Stephen Hill, I would see about swapping 2nd round picks with someone at top of 2nd round, and also giving them the 3rd round pick we got from the Pats. So this way technically we didn't lose any of our original draft picks, and also filled another need which is a WR opposite of Green.
