April 24, 201214 yr Even with them expecting Frazier to fill that spot? Before ST I think Francisco had a big time edge on Fraizer and if he would have came into camp in shape ready to go they would have never traded him. Fraizer gives them more options as a bench player but I think as an everyday player Francisco is the better player.
April 24, 201214 yr Two stats on Francisco that really work against him, both compiled in parts of three seasons in Triple-A: 1. 23 errors in 147 games at 3B 2. 30 walks and 170 strikeouts Francisco really isn't much of a third baseman, and his free-swinging approach is something major league pitchers can exploit if he's given semi-regular playing time. Chances are he will never be a starter in the majors.

April 24, 201214 yr I wasn't sold on the trade at first but Fransisco has played really well for the Braves and provides solid depth at 3b.
April 24, 201214 yr How are those Willie Harris stats looking?I'm not saying anything about Harris ... he's a dime-a-dozen utility guy. But Francisco is no great loss.

April 24, 201214 yr I think trading him makes it clear that the Reds plan on bringing in hometown boy Kevin Youkilis in 2013. Although it appears that his career is over as well.

April 25, 201214 yr I can't believe there is anyone upset that the Reds traded a guy who can't catch, throw, or make contact. Francisco makes E5 look like Brooks Robinson.
April 26, 201214 yr Didn't see a whole lot of Hoover tonight, but he's been killing it lately in Louisville. Forget about Juan, dude is a lazy chub.
May 6, 201214 yr Looks like the LRCW jinx strikes again. Francisco is now hitting .209 and hasn't homered since LRCW started this stupid thread.
August 13, 201214 yr So far in 28 AB this year for the Braves. .286 AVG 3 HR 7 RBI May go down as one of the worst trades Jocketty made as a Red. Still too early to tell, but hey, at least Willie Harris is on the roster.:lol:  Whenever I'm having a bad day I just go back and look at this thread. Someone should start a poll: Who has the worst eye for talent? LRCW Marge Schott Billy Clyde Gillespie

LRCW Marge Schott Billy Clyde Gillespie Obviously still a better eye for talent than you if you think Willie Harris is better. They traded Francisco so they could keep Willie Harris.
