If Obama Care fails, will Obama be out to get even?

Featured Replies

If his plan doesnt work and gets shot down by Supreme Court, will Obama or the Dems try to get revenge somehow by not co-operating with anyone.

Will there be reprucusions on everyone?

As a Democrat I would hope that the two sides would cooperate to come up with something acceptable but I expect the same old song and dance of non cooperation to occur if ObamaCare fails.

Same here and I hope they work together to solve our problems.

Of course he will, didnt you hear, hes taking down the defensive missle system so the Russians can shoot a few our way, lol.

They can't afford to "not work with anyone". No one can. But I am sure health care reform will be a huge rallying cry for the Dems in the up coming election if this is overturned. Obama can not lose on this decision. If the court upholds it, he wins because he fulfilled a major campaign promise and is proven right in how he put the reform together. If the court overturns it, he gets motivated, eager supporters for the upcoming election from the 50% plus of the electorate that want health care reform.

I think more common (not politicians) people are against Obama Care. Health care changes yes, but not for what this calls for.

I like choice, I like picking my Dr. and insurance provider and being able to go to the Dr. and see them when I need to and not have to get a number and we will call you back in a few weeks.

I would think the just the opposite happens. If this gets shot down I think the administration comes out looking really bad. He ran the first time on reform, crammed a bill through that the majority don't want then it gets thrown out because it's unconstitutional. This means the biggest accomplishment he has had since taking office is wiped out. Not sure how you spin all of that to work in your favor. You say on one hand that it's upheld he's proven right but if that's the case then if it's stricken down he's proven wrong and has wasted a lot of the country's time and money for nothing.

I agree with woodsrider on this one. In addition to the time and money spent, let us not also forget about the downright bribing of some senators. Some of those folks are seeing the handwriting on the wall and retiring. Obama is all in on this one. It is the equivalent of the error that Republican governors made in Wisconsin and Ohio on a different issue.

The dems did the "not work with anyone" thing on getting this pushed through in the first place. It cost them the mid-term elections. Maybe they'll see that they can't push something like this down the throats of Americans again and they'll seek REAL cooperation on this. I won't hold my breath however.

You think that would change with the implementation of the new health care plan? Do you believe there are also death panels?

Obama and the Dems will spin it by saying it is another example of the Republicans stepping on the average American. Despite how it looks on talk shows, this site, etc., the majority of Americans want health care reform and Obama will spin it that he tried his best to get it done but the Republicans and conservatives won't let it happen.

There is a big difference between wanting reform and wanting the reform bill that was passed.

True. But Obama is going to spin it to his advantage and about 50% of the people want this bill.

I feel as though you overestimate its popularity. This bill was the biggest reason why the Republicans took the house. Reform is good and needed, not all reform is good though. This bill had some things I liked and some things I didn't. Overall if it were overturned I think it would be to the benefit of all so that some kind of reform that requires both parties to work on it as opposed to a house, senate and white house dominated by one party making it so.

Could you please tell me what in the ACA stops you from doing this?
