New Jersey which seems to me to be smaller in area than Kentucky has 485 high schools in their state. I was trying to look up and decipher their tournament system. I may be interpreting it wrong, but it looks like they have 6 different state champions and then have a Tournament of Champions to end their season.

KY has a lot of good traditions in Basketball. I think a lot of it comes from UK's success over the years and it is good for our state to feed off that energy. Where does everyone think our state stacks up as far as talent and level of play compared to other states? I would say at best middle of the pack.

I think you are right. Coach Hurley refered to "overall champion" in his speech.

This year's Indiana high school basketball finals drew the fewest fans since the Hoosier State went from one class to four classes 14 years ago. The four title games played in Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis last Saturday drew 22,820 fans. Two private schools won championships — Park Tudor in 2A and Guerin Catholic in 3A. The last year Indiana crowned one champ — Bloomington North beat Delta in the 1998 finals — the game drew 26,000 fans to the Hoosier Dome.
