They are going to miss the Stuckey girl or whoever their pitcher was. She could hit the tornado out of the ball too.

Goodness Lloyd lost to Ludlow. Dayton whamboozled Cov. Latin 28-11. Dayton must be good this year. Today the top game should be NCC at Silver Grove.

Cov Latin always struggles. I would say Dayton will be like they always are.

Walton is ahead of where they were last year at this time. Thacker is pitching really well and I hear is throwing in the 60's mph range. There still is room for improvement for them though. I thought had a nice team. Not a lot of errors and their pitcher did a good job. Not a lot of walks either to my memory. They look like they will be pretty good this year.

Walton Verona is pretty darn good. They are rock solid at every position...probably one of the top five teams we will face during regular season play (counting the scrimmage of course). Bracken had two costly errors that could've ended two separate innings---WV capitalized on both.

 

I guess that's the reason for scrimmages....to get over those rough spots and see what you need to improve on. The Lady Bears will be fine this year.

Walton beat Bracken 6-2 in the regular season last year & that was with Sticklen. They went on to go deep in the state Class A & won the 8th Region championship. Lost one senior from last year's squad, if the khsaa.org information from last year's roster is accurate. Very solid program.

Sara Sticklen. Her absence will hurt the Lady Bears. They still have a lot of talent. Sophomore Emma Conley, who did quite a bit of pitching last year, will be shouldering (no pun intended) a lot of the pitching load this year.

Have not seen WV play in quite some time. I am hoping to see them this year! I have heard they are very solid team!

Bracken looks like they will have a solid team. Very early.

Heard the Cupp girl could be out for the year with a shoulder injury. Has anyone heard anything or have any updates? If so Holmes will really be hurting.

I think the Thacker girl is very good but would question if she is throwing in the 60 mph range. I do look for Walton to have a great year. They should definitely be one of the top teams in NKY if not the top.
