Everyone should read and study Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. It explains it all. I just finished rereading it when I saw this thread. What I meant was that there are people who claim to be a christian under different denominations and no matter how much preaching they hear. No matter how much they attend church they just don't want to turn away from the world of sin. God is a spirit. He must be worshiped in spirit and in truth. So it doesn't matter where you are. If you have made Jesus your Lord and Savior and you worship God in spirit and in truth you will get into heaven.

 

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Please define what you mean by judgemental?

 

For me, saying if you don't believe a particular way your going to hell is being very judgemental.

By being a good loving, caring, person.

By saying that, it looks like he was saying a person can get to heaven by his own works. You can be the greatest loving,caring person in the world but that alone is not going to get you into heaven. No one can get to heaven or to the Father by his own works.

This is what my Lord and Savior was saying by this scripture:

You got that right. When you said you can get to Heaven by being a good, caring, loving person you are certainly going against what the Bible teaches us.

Not really. If you're a good, caring, loving person, you're being Christ-like in your daily actions. That is what gets us to Heaven, the Bible even tells us to be Christ-like.

Works won't get you in brother. You can be the nicest cat in the history of mankind. Christ as you personal savior is the only way. He is the door. No man comes unto the Father but by him. Lots of good, caring, loving folks out there lost and headed for Hell without a savior.

And from my vantage point people that feel that way are extremely judgemental. There is no person on this Earth that knows what gets a person into Heaven. To try and say that if you don't believe this way or that, that you're going to Hell is passing judgement on others. Only God can judge, not you or I.

And I'm simply saying I think those that believe that it's "this way or Hell" are judgemental people.

 

Look, I believe Jesus is the son of God, and died for our sins. However, I will not try to tell other people that if you don't believe as I do, you're going to hell. I don't know, you don't know, Spindoc doesn't know, AL doesn't know, no one does. For me to say that to someone else, is passing judgement. God is the only one that can do that, no one else.
