NFL Expands Alt uniform Policy
Jumper_Dad replied to Tranquility Base's topic in National Football League (NFL)
As a Rams fan I love the dark blue and dark yellow main helmet the Rams wear. The dark blue with white horns is a good throwback. If a third comes into play I'd like to see something completely different. -

NFL Expands Alt uniform Policy

It's not like the players can't or won't be properly fitted for the new helmets just as they are for the main helmet. -
Eliminating the hip drop tackle will be a mess in my opinion. It will probably rarely be clear cut and easy to call. That said, I expect it to be called a lot. I'm not sure what a smaller player is to do if he wraps up a ball carrier around the waist without using his body weight to pull him down. I also can see this frequently being called on sacks. Many times the QB is brought down by a defender with one arm wrapped around his waist and just pulling him to the ground. If he has QB wrapped and is off balance and going down I could easily see Ref flagging for a hip drop.

I get what you are saying, but it's a shame if a gifted child has to miss out on a potentially life changing education because his parents can't or aren't available to drive them 15 miles to a school better suited to them. Contrary to popular belief not just affluent parents think their children should have the opportunity to attend magnet schools.

There were a handful of coaches that the UK Admin ruled out before Barnhart started the process, Pearl, Beard and a couple others. Oates and Wright pulled themselves out of any conversation before it even started. Hurley turned down a Brinks truck of money and Drew and family didn't want move. Donovan was going to wait at least a week plus to even speak to UK with no guarantee that he'd take the job. After being turned down twice before by Billy D, I think his name was just floated to placate a segment of the fans that were hung up on him. I don't think Donovan was on top of Mitch's list, just on top of fan's list. Pope was the next rung of coaches they considered and chose him over the others. Pope was officially the third person actually offered or pitched the job.

Pat Kelsey named Louisville's next basketball coach
Jumper_Dad replied to 16thBBall Fan's topic in College Basketball
Who have they picked up so far? Nevermind, I found a list. -
Betrayed, how? What do you think he owed you or anyone? Jeff was one of my favorites at UK, but most fans under 30 weren't even aware that there was a Jeff Sheppard that played at Kentucky until Reed showed up. While us older guys know and appreciate what Jeff did, Reed will remembered fondly by the younger generations of fans.

With Bruiser, Chin, Chuck Martin, Brad and now Kenny...there was no room for Antigua at Arkansas. Maybe if he wanted to go Arkansas, Cal wouldn't have taken Chin or Chuck.

Kentucky Baseball currently ranked #3 in the nation

Big game tomorrow versus Tennessee. They've split the first two games of the series. -

Might be why Antiga didn't resign and hung around working, Cal left him behind hoping to have a plant in the UK program. 🤔 Pope must have seen through it and now he's gone to Illinois.

Multiple reports just coming in that Iraeli missiles had been fired at Iranian targets in Syria, Iraq and Iran.

Another thing to consider, he would have had unrealistic expectations placed on him by fans next year. He probably would have felt the weight of the state on his back every game. While I love him as a player and a Kentucky kid, I completely understand his decision and wish him well.
