  1. Beechwood came out on fire in the beginning then it fell apart until the second half. Beechwood's big men got into early foul trouble and thats when Bryan and Love got the majority of their points. When the 4th qtr came around Beechwood dominated. This game should have never went into OT, but with some hopeless shots in the final minutes Villa somehow made it happen. Great game by both teams, fun game to watch.
  2. Wow, very suprising loss. With all the hype that they created by themselves I expected much more out of them. Just another mediocre Villa team i suppose.
  3. Even though Beechwood has 3 players out with broken ankles, they still name the score. I heard Bellevue beat Villa the other night and if i remember correctly Beechwood beat Bellevue by 25+. Brian Romes will dominate Stephen Love, and Trey Beuttel will handle Blake Bryan with ease as he did the first game. None of Villa's other players will be a factor at all. Hall will have a great game. Beechwood 75-57
  4. and Blake Bryan is also a 17 yr old sophmore
  5. How is BW smaller than NCC? The only player on NCC that is same size or maybe bigger than BW is Geisler, who won't be a factor like you said he would be. Unfortunately, Pangallo WILL get worn down because of the physical style that Beuttel has.:sssh:
  6. There is no way that Villa can keep up with St. Henry's up and down style of play.
  7. NCC can't match up with BW's size. NCC's small guards will get worn down too easily. BW's run up and down style of play will hurt NCC tremendously due to lack of depth. AND Romes doesn't have to shut down all of them because NCC doesn't have any POY candidates.:thumb:
  8. Expect another easy win for St. Henry.
  9. Villa does not match up well at all against St. Henry. Look for St. Henry to win by at least 15+
  10. Yes, he put up somewhat decent numbers, but he couldn't score in halfcourt offense to save his life. All of his points came off transition and wide open shots. When Romes was out of the game was when he got more than half of his points. How can he expect to score at the next level if he can't do it with a defender on him?
  11. Don't look for Villa to advance any further. They are a mediocre team at best.
  12. Henderson is easily the best player in the region. It seems as if you don't like the kid or you have something against him, not sure. Oh, and if I were you I would stop arguing that Sorrell should be in the top 3. I'm sure you saw or heard about him last night against Beechwood. Romes shut him down.:sssh: The reason Arrez doesn't score more is because they have a complete team. He could score at will if he wanted to. That is HC's downfall. Sorrell is pretty much there only source of points and when he gets shut down, especially by a D-III school, then who knows what's gonna happen down the stretch.
  13. We will see... you may be sadly mistakened because BW is primed for another upset.
  14. Very well put Mustang Finally Beechwood is getting some well deserved respect
  15. Good point, but you seem to think Sorrell is unstoppable, which is not the case. I think BW will have an answer for him and the rest of HC, especially with Romes back in the lineup.
  16. I guess i wasn't clear enough when i said that BW's entire lineup is over 6'0 tall... that's real small for a D-III school.
  17. Snyder 6'3, Miller 6'4, and Jackson 6'4
  18. That's funny because one of BW's starter also has a 7'0 wingspan including both the bench players, who are both bigger than Sorrell.
  19. What makes you think Sorrell will own the boards? i know he's 6'4, but BW's entire starting lineup is over 6'0, and dont forget the two kids off the bench who are both 6'4 also. So if you think Sorrell is going to have a field day inside that is very inaccurate
  20. First let me say to LCA, you have earned the respect of many, you WILL be there next year! I really enjoyed Bluto's time with the Beechwood tail gating crowd. I will always remember the swings of emotion in this game. The emotion of having a senior, watching him leave the field in his uniform for the last time. Very hard thing to see one team have to lose, I wish LCA good luck next year.
  21. I totally agree, besides there are always grand children!!!! The TRADITION will continue.:thumb:
