Final

Any stats?

"Brian Romes will dominate Stephen Love, and Trey Beuttel will handle Blake Bryan with ease as he did the first game. None of Villa's other players will be a factor at all.

Hall will have a great game."

Hall having a great game is about all you got right. Love and Bryan were each in the 20's. Hall had 33. Beuttel had 18 and Romes had 14. Villa had a 14 point lead at half time. Beechwood came back in the third. Villa was up four going into the fourth. Game went to OT, where Beechwood was able to take control. Both teams had foul trouble. Villa had three guys foul out and Beechwood had one, maybe two.

It was really a great game to watch. Congrats to Beechwood on the win and the undefeated DIII season. Congrats to Villa for playing a good game and making Beechwood earn it. It's nice to see that "mediocre" Villa team come out and give Beechwood all they could handle.

Hall had his 33 by going 1-7 from the foul line and missing multiple lay-ups.

He should of had 50.

Tell him to go out and work on his free throws and bunnys and he might get there next game. . :thumb:

Nice effort by Villa. They've lost some heartbreakers this year. Congrats to Beechwood.

Beechwood came out on fire in the beginning then it fell apart until the second half. Beechwood's big men got into early foul trouble and thats when Bryan and Love got the majority of their points. When the 4th qtr came around Beechwood dominated. This game should have never went into OT, but with some hopeless shots in the final minutes Villa somehow made it happen. Great game by both teams, fun game to watch.

The paper said Beechwood outscored Villa 13-9 in the 4th Q. Is that domination?

I agree that this game shouldn't have been in OT. Some very poor calls by the refs and a quite a few more mistakes by Villa practically wrapped up the game for the Tigers.

Happy Valentine's Day! Consider it a gift from the boys in Villa Hills.

And good luck against Holmes.

Well said bigblue88. Really hard to beat 7 on the court. And as for a Hopeless shot. I believe that was a coast to coast lay up, plus the uncalled foul (watch the game film). I think every one is right should have never been in over time.

While I wasn't at the game, I'd say most wins are not handed out. When a team is down 15 at half time and battles back, credit must be given for the amount of heart shown. It sounds like Villa made mistakes and did not have some calls go their way, but clearly Beechwood earned it. Whatever was said at halftime must have inspired Hall because he came out firing. Having seen Villa in the past, I know they are not a very deep team. Having foul trouble made them rely on their bench and Beechwood's athleticism is outstanding for a DIII school.:thumb:

Congrats to Beechwood on winning the division and and going undefeated in it.

I agree.

Well said.

Beechwood definitely battled back. They are a heck of a team. I definitely got my money's worth too with this game.

Congrats to Beechwood on winning the division and and going undefeated in it.

They haven't run the table yet!

Go Ludlow!

13-1 is still a great accomplishment.

I'm pretty sure they can handle it. I'll go ahead and say congrats on the undefeated season.
