I know last year in 1-A Clinton Co. was 0-10 regular season went to the playoffs, was 0-11 after their playoff game and their coach George Hatcher was voted district coach of the year. Now, you tell me how that is justified before talking about winless teams not making the playoffs.:ylsuper:

I enjoyed watching Bell Co perform, they are a machine.

Dang H.O.P., I sure love our Raiders but this injury bug has really zapped McCreary and it will be hard to match up with C-ville speed with that many top athletes out. I'm not saying it can't be done because faith can move mountains. I'll be pulling for you guys. Go Raiders!

Just because your daughter plays dosen't give you an inside track to what is going on. It is because of these things that Coach Waters have closed his practices this year. I wish everyone would leave him alone and support him and the players would stop being babies and start being athletes this program would be at the top of the 12th in no time!:ylsuper:

Yea, that is what the Harlow kid thought and he moved 3 hrs away to Johnson Co. but he sat for 1 year and so will Morrow!

What a family says and the facts are, well lets say, a little different. Bottom line there are several rescent defections from McCreary to Wayne and i just think the McCreary Co end of it is getting tired of all the one-sided transferes (I refrained from using any other term). This has nothing to do with the kid and everything to do with Wayne Co. and their athletic Dept. I can tell you their Wrestling team isn't invited to MC anymore and MC has no desire to go there for the same reason. You might be from WC and I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feeling (I have some good friends in Wayne Co.) but 2 + 2 always = 4 and it dosen't take a rocket scientist to do the math!

Sorry, i was just responding to them as i got to them. Didn't mean to repeat what was already told! As for the AAU situation.................I read on here that was for the boys thread so i think I will stick to the girls for now!

That's correct but the committee goes with the recomendation 99.9% of the time and that is the recomendation to the committee!

Why? They will be better next year than they will be this year! Everyone will be Juniors this year!

I'll agree that Bartly is a good coach but he should have been supportive of Waters even if he disagreed with him because he was the head coach. When you are an asst coach and openly disagree with the head coach to parents and players you do nothing but destroy a program and you need to be asked not to coach anymore. Now, that is how I am aware things happend and this was comming from players and parents!

Like I said, these girls can't stand to get yelled at and their parents think they are little princes's........hey wake up, they are athletes. I here you talking about Wayne Co coaches i will bet the farm the yell and get on their player's butts all of the time! The asst. coach should have shown support for Waters instead he didn't which caused a division which is the reason the program is where it is at not because Waters is a bad coach because I have seen Waters take bad teams and turn them into winners but he had support!

I watched Waters play and she could bring it up the floor and she could shoot the 3 and we all know she dominated inside so I am confused to what part of the game she was weak at? Just asking!

I think that is a decision that the principal alone makes and I heard her say myself that the current coach is her pick and she will support him and his efforts. Where is your info coming from? Just like you said Gay would be gone and you were wrong there as well. Lack of support will hurt any coach in any program and it sounds to me like you are part of the non-support that he is getting which started on his own staff last year. It's hard to be successfull when one of your own asst. coaches are not supporting you like they should!

I think McCreary has an excellent girls B-ball coach. he was left with a very young team. Also, he expects alot of hard work and dedication and these girls like to be pacified which will not happen with the current coach. My suggestion is suck it up work hard or go home. Those who play will get great coaching and become better ball players.

She won't be eligible to play her Jr year (transfere rule) however, she may dominate her Sr. year.

That's right and IF he had wings he would scrape his butt hoping acrooss the ground either! What is your point? If you read the entire post, I said "Williamsburg EARNED those wins" I was just showing the fact that they were not blow-outs and that at any time those games could have went the other way. I applaud W-burg for their hard work and it has paid off so far in the close games, there just wasn't any woodsheds involved!

If you mean they beat everyone else that is true. If you said this meaning they completely dominated everyone else (which is usually what is meant) then I totally disagree with you. I was at the campbellsville game and W-burg was just a couple of C-ville mistakes away from not winning and I was at the Mccreary game and W-burg was a couple of fumbles away from not winning. Don't get me wrong W-burg earned both of those wins I'm just saying they didn't dominate those games. With that being said, I think LC (if 90%-95% healthy) has a chance to win this game but they can not make mistakes because W-burg does a real good job capitalizing on other teams mistake and of course that is what good teams do. I think this will be a good game, wish I could be there. Good luck to both teams!

I would say they were definately playing disciplined football and I would also say Bell Co's players were all in a coma! LOL! I love my Raiders and you guys go out there tomorrow night and give them Bobcats an old fashion skin'in up there on the Mountain!:ylsuper:

Everyone in McCreary Co loves Aaron Watts. He is definately the best athlete in the mountains. But, that is not what people are saying. Everyone keeps saying that he is the team all by himself and not even Aaron thinks that. Anyone who knows anything about team sports knows that 1 person can't do it by themselves. Everyone in McCreary Co knows that the team is much better when he is playing but we also know we have a team that can compete and win when Aaron is out, just like now.

Knox County wins. But they better come ready to play!:ylsuper:
