In order to build the football/soccer/track/ect facility, CCH agreed to several stipulations. One of the stipulations was that there would not be lighting on the field. CCH has not attempted to get permission for permanent lights. Right now, this has nothing to do with surrounding homes. There is a procsess in place to get permission, and CCH has not applied.

I may be wrong, but I think it was 24.2 seconds with no timeouts. QB sneak was a bad call, not enough time to get off another play. Don't put the ball in the hands of the refs. Throw the ball, if it is incomplete, the clock stops. You can run the QB sneak on the last play of the game if you think that is your best option. Overall I don't understand why Beechwood did not try to throw more. Defensive victory for CCH. :thumb:

You are correct. He simply tried to overkick the ball to get the touchback. I can't blame him for trying because the kick coverage is terrible. You would think that a professional kicker would be able to put the ball in the endzone when he needs to.:madman:

They made an application to Kenton County Area Planning for temporary lights to be used two nights at the end of September.They will have the Senior night for soccer and football on this weekend. The application was approved. During a meeting with residents, CCH stated that this was not an attempt to install permanent lights, or even a trial run. They thought it would be something special and different to do for senior night. It definetly will be something cool for everyone. Kudo's to who came up with it.:thumb:

Returning kicks and punts is something every Highlands team I've ever seen is very good at. Not only do you get 6 points, but it is a huge momentum builder. Then once Highlands has momentum they are tough to slow down. The bottom line is that Highlands is very well coached in all aspects of the game. If CCH can keep the big play from building momentum for Highlands, then I think CCH can hang around for a chance at the end. CCH will have to play a near perfect game.

I agree that you can work on some things when you are up 35-0. You could also say that CCH has only kicked off 8 times in the first three game, so they should work on there regular kick off coverage. Not trying to be a softy, but an onside kick when you are up 35 is tasteless. BTW- The kick I am talking about was a traditional onside kick, not a pooch kick.

I can tell you that the CCH fans did not like that call. I do not know what Coach Broosart was thinking, but I hope someone explained to him that is not what CCH football is about.:irked:

Don't get your shorts in a bunch!!! I am glad that Beechwood shut it down with their starters before it was 49-0. I admitted that I was not there, but when you see a score like that, it looks bad. I never said that anyone that is on the field should not try their best. It will NEVER happen, but if Beechwood ever got beat by 70, you would not like it. BTW, I paid my registration fee to BGP, so I am entitled to my opinion. BGP is full of people with opinions, some you will like and some you will not. Now I will take a rest.

I am sorry that I felt compelled to have compassion for the Mustangs. When I played, we shut it down at 49. There were many times we could have scored more, but our coach had respect for our opponent. I respect your take the lump attitude, but you do not need to be humiliated along the way.

Do you really have to win by 70? I was not there and really don't care but at some point I think you can back off some. I hope it was the fourth string that "RAN IT UP"!!!:irked:

Do not know for sure, but I heard the visitors side elevation was screwed up during construction. If thats not true, it is a good cover up for a poor design. I do agree that overall they have a very nice facility.

Here comes the Highlands cockieness. And if I am Dixie I would not consider this a great game.

Highlands has always been the King of momentum. They understand it, like it and live it.:thumb: And I'm not even a Highlands fan,I just respect their approach to the game.

I'm taking it that they are saying Cecil is a better QB and that Dixie can't adjust to the threat of his running or passing. They are not "blaming" anyone, I think they are complimenting Highlands coaching and depth in having two good Qb's. Learn how to take a compliment!!!

I agree about why go short when the longball is there. My point is that Bricking missed on many shorter passes that were open. Take 4 longballs for almost 200 yards off of the passing stats, and it does not look so great anymore. I think that unlike CCH, Highlands will defend the long pass very well. How many attempts did Bricking have? I think Dixie has a better than average passing game, but CCH made it look better than it is. Hopefully I am wrong and Dixie will be pass happy come Friday night.

Only have seen Dixie play one game. IMO Highlands will be able to cover the sideline pass to Dettmer(sp.). With that said, Dixies offense will sputter. CCH does not have much of a running game, so it is hard to say how Dixie will handle Highlands running game. If you don't count Dixies long sideline passes against CCH, the passing game did not look that great to me. With that said, I would like to see Dixie upset Highlands, but I do not think it will happen. Highlands by 21.

If you have not seen all of the first three games, then you cannot make an intelligent response. Isn't there a Highlands thread somewhere that you can go look at? :argue: :irked:
