  1. Don't let him fire you up. SEABASS seems to lack respect for everyone unless you are from HHS. I am sure that this game was great experience for ALL of the players from both teams. Games like these prepare players and teams for any challange that they may face.:thumb:
  2. Were you in CCH parking lot or in Towne and Country's parking lot? CCH tries to be a good nieghbor with Towne and Country. On weekends Towne and Country has alot of functions going on. If you were in CCH's lot, I would expect nothing but respect. If that was not the case, as a CCH alumni I apologize.
  3. Why don't they go beat the Highlands for themselves? When it happens it feels pretty good.:ylsuper:
  4. Hopefully the freshmans Qb position is settled, unlike the varsity.
  5. Good point. Are you saying that they know what they are talking about or that they have no idea and just guess?
  6. There is no question that CCH has some issues. New coaches, new offense, tough schedule, replacing last years seniors, indescision on who the QB will be, and the list goes on. With that said, this is still CCH. I wonder if the coaches vote with credible information or just vote off of what they have "heard". :irked:
  7. Honestly have no idea. I have heard that they are loaded also, but that remains to be seen.
  8. I hope they can get this game in. It would be a bummer if both teams do not get a taste of what CCH vs Highlands is like.
  9. I forgot to mention my prediction. CCH 28 NCC 14. CCH should come in with some attitude after seeing the coaches poll. Attitude is something they did not have against LaSalle.
  10. I am a homer for Shaun Alexander. Any mention of Artuse Pinner (sp). Do not know what ever happened to him, but I think he made it to the NFL. I remember him from AAA state championship game against CCH. He was a load.
  11. There are no dumb questions. It is at Nippert (UC).
  12. I was there. I would not say that CCH could not get a play off, but the first and second team QB could not complete many passes (1 for 12 with 1 int for TD) and they only got 1 or 2 first downs. Third QB had much better success ( 7 for 13 with 1 TD). The running game seemed to improve once the passing game got going. They missed Buckley. The defense spent most of the first half on the field due to the offenses inability to maintain possession. You might think the defense had problems if you look at the score, but this was not really the case. Special teams looked okay on two kickoffs and several returns. 6 punts for 41 yard average and not much return. Overall CCH did not look prepared to play. They need to regroup if they are to beat NCC.:irked:
  13. CCh does not have lights and does not have permission from Northern Ky Area Planning to put up temp lights this coming weekend.
  14. No clue. It has been difficult to follow Coach Brossarts thinking on this subject. First it was Isler, then it was Furnish, then it was Weary. Coach Brossart wasted the Roger Bacon srimmage by only looking at one QB. Every time you see a newspaper article, he talks about a different QB. It is time to pick one and ride him. It cannot be good for any of these QBs to not know at this stage of the game where they stand. None of the QBs are what I would call as seasoned veterans. Whichever one he picks is going to have good times and bad times.IMO the QB should be Isler.
  15. I have no knowledge of Ohio football outside of Cincinnati, but that does not sound very impressive to me. I have seen ALOT of teams with D-1 talent lose to teams with no D-1 talent. I am not a Highlands guy, but I am a KY fan and would love to see the Bluebirds pull off the upset ( if that is what it would be considered). Go Birds.
  16. One more area of concern was the kicking game going into this year. I thought the kickoff man had very good distance and hang time. He just needs to keep it in bounds. Did not get to see him kick field goals, but looked okay on PATs. Kind of hard to follow in Shane Popham's foot steps. I've seen two different punters. Do not know names, but the smaller guy did not seem to get much hang time, but did get a decent roll. Once again, hard to follow Josh Bleser.
  17. Good question. All the talk about quarterbacks and running backs means nothing without an O-line. I did hear there were 2 defensive guys moved to O-line after the Ryle scrimmage. Is that true?
  18. Come on, how about a respect? Sometimes the best team does not win. Thats why we play the game.
  19. Interesting, I thought the defense looked good so far. To give up 35+ would be suprising and dissapointing. On the other hand if the offense does not at least keep the ball away from Lasalle it could be a long tiresome day for the defense. Special teams could be huge for the Colonels.
  20. There are way too many questions about CCHs offense. If CCH has a chance, it will the defense that has to play well. Defense has looked very good so far.
  21. What you did see was Isler run 10 plays maximum against Ryle. The offensive line played very poorly against a strong Ryle defense. None of the 3 qbs had a chance to do anything positive [ Weary was not one of the 3 qbs]. Good job by Brossart to correct the problems with the offensive line. They played much better. With a much longer srimmage against Roger Bacon, it would have been nice to see all of the qb canidates get some reps.
  22. Good observation. I am sure that the offense will improve with time. It is a good thing that Coach Brossarts area of expertise is the offensive line.
