You said Persinger has not coached beyond middle school and that is not true. He was under Daniel Fisher and Gary McKinney both and for that matter, Jon Wirth too. I guess you did not know that did you? No one was comparing him to anybody, just saying they coached Basketball and Baseball/softball at a larger school, so why not Persinger here at Bracken????

I would say Chad is upset enough over this decision the way it is. Besides, he has been a JV coach and varsity assistant several years in the past! I dont think Mac Whitacker or Tony Sosby (at Bourbon) has had much of a problem coaching both things either and we are only single A. Good hire? So you see this guy being here in three years?? It doenst matter if it was a Pitino assistant, it is time these boys get a coach that is willing to hang around and not pack up and leave town every couple years!!

I was at the game and me (along with MANY PEOPLE around me) could not figure out why in the world Chambers was coming back into the game with three minutes left???? The game was OVER! The only thing left was a chance for her to get hurt and ruin any chance Mason had to win Regionals. With one minute and a few seconds left, she was pulled out! CRAZY! All that does is make people upset, but most importantly, give her an opportunity to get hurt!

I was told that Harrison struggles with one thing and that is defending a big girl. THat is why I cant believe that Bracken didnt get it to her down low all night. From what i have heard about the game, it didnt go to her much at all.

Parents dont get it, do they? About 3/4 of them just dont get it. They think because a player is jerked out or yelled at, the coach doesn't appreciate them, like them, etc. They dont get it!

Unless I am mistaken, St Pat didn't just beat Deming, they beat them pretty bad. SO, how can you say that Deming will only lose if they beat themselves? I think they need to play pretty darn hard to beat St Pat dont you think? I think St Pat is the team to beat in the ALL A!! They have proved that! And I am not even close to a St Pat fan!!

I dont mean BIG like over weight. I mean, big as...TALL and PUT TOGETHER. Not too many girls have her size and toughness to go with it. She has to get the ball!!!

MY goodness. She is big enough to get a double double every game even if she is sick and a bad ankle. When she is healthy (assuming she is right now), she should get 10 offensive rebounds alone. She should get 10 points just on garbage points!

I agree with you. I didn't see last nights game but have seen Bracken play. They usually get good effort from there younger players and the older players tend to watch and stand around too much. I would like to see them play with the same intensity that the younger girls do. You agree? The big girl has to demand the ball inside and get some boards for them to be successful.

MAC knows what he is doing! If you can run a girl out, and score easy...why not? It is up to the opposing coach to stop it by designating someone to get back on her. He would be crazy not to do it if the team will let him.

WHAT!!??? the young players play hard and the older players play soft!! GEE WIZ have you seen them play this year?? THe peremiter guarding is great but the inside isnt.

They second guess him because he is strict with there children! He doesn't put up with any crap whatsoever. It is his way or the highway and some players and parents cant handle that. I would say 3/4 of all high school athletes girls or boys could not play for him. Too many coaches are too easy on the players and let them get away with to much. The main reason for this is, parents dont help the coach out when they get them home. They believe everything the kid says and are ready to yell at the coach. Coaches need parents support, especially when times are rough and hard. It is called tough love! At the same time, more coaches need to be stricter and demand players to perform and hold them accountable. Mac does this and look at his success!

I can't see Pendleton beating Nicholas, Bracken, Harrison, Brossart this year. You have to remember that even though they did have a nice year in 07, all of those teams beat them as well. Bracken last to Montgomery in the Regionals 4-2 and only lost two starters. I look for them to be a regional contender. Nicholas has many nice players back and will be a contender as well. Harrison lost a lot and there coach. They might struggle but I still see them beating Pendleton.

Are you serious?? St Pat will not come close and Brossart cant beat Paris in my opinion, but we will see. Should be interesting.

Coach G and his defense? Are you kidding me???? If he didn't play someone for not playing defense, he wouldn't play anyone because none of them do. I think he has Crawford and others so confused they dont know what to do. Why does he not start Crawford but then brings him in down 12 points and leaves him in hoping he will bring them back?? Doesnt make sense to me. I think Miller will help them out next year to be honest! Or at least I hope he does!
