For Bracken, Ahrens had 12 and Figgins had 13.

The Biggest stat was Mason Co. 18-23 from the line ( should be pretty close )and Bracken Co. 4-17 , Cline was 13-15 and Chambers was 4-5 for Mason Co.

First half saw Mason County with just a 2-point edge at 25-23. A couple of key players in foul trouble; seems like I remember the score being either 21-8 or 21-10 at one point. Bracken hung tough and made their move while Chambers and maybe Litzinger also were on the bench. Mason was having trouble finding Figgins, who kept knocking down open shots.

 

Second half was just a little different; Lady Royals pushed the lead quickly and never really looked back.

Cline and Litzenger looked really good and were too much for Bracken. I was unimpressed with Chambers. Bracken played tought they just didn't defend the three well. Good luck to both teams.

ATown, so agree with you on the jersey comment. You put Deming or Augusta jerseys on the Lady Royals and Bracken is a different team. Bracken has got to beat Mason in an important game(district or region) to finally turn the corner. Anyone know the last time the Lady Bears beat Mason County in the district or regional tournament? I'm a Lady Bear fan, but this one was kept close only while Chambers and Litzinger were in foul trouble. Definitely had difficulties again with keeping Cline from taking it to the hole.

 

Disappointed in the fact that Mason had starters in until the last minute of the game. Bracken had already put in subs and the game wasn't even close during the last 3-4 minutes...not like a sudden comeback was going to happen.

Subs were in at that point more than they have been in the recent past. Keller Menke was brought back in, I'm assuming because she's a sophomore and she'll be leading the younger girls next season. The seniors were pretty well out by that point.

But still, they have plenty of time to work on that group of girls this summer. Let the girls that don't get to play much play. Menke is a starter, so she should not have been in the game at that point.
