Game in Grayson on Tuesday, January 12. Thoughts?

Should be a really tough and hard fought game, no different from the last one. Elliott didn't play their greatest game last contest with East playing their best but it basketball and every game can have so many twist and turns. The Lions have to really play a good game to win this one but I will go with the Lions by 6. This is going to be a great ball game so either team winning is no surprise to me. Big district match-up!

I'm also thinking that Elliott County will win by a few buckets in this one.

East by 4 at home.

East will probably win. They're a great team. Both teams being out of school for so long probably will make the performance somewhat lackluster--but when these two teams get together there is usually plenty of excitement. I'll root for Elliott to win by one! They're more than capable... as is East.

No we need to win by more than one due to the loss we took and home by one. If we beat East by more than one then we win the district in first place because we would be tied with wins in district assuming East and Elliott won out; making it go to the points. So this is a big game because I don't think either team wants to be second because they would have to play a scary West Carter team with Rayburn back.

If not mistaken, that is not true. Didnt they remove the points tiebreaker at the meeting last year due to the fiasco from last years district tournament? It would go to a coin flip

Yes I believe you are right. I couldn't exactly remember how that went down but I remember none wanting to play Elliott.

In any case, you're right about one thing for sure. A win by more than one is desirable--even if not a necessity!

Still goes head to head first, so score for those 2 games would matter. After that tiebreaker changes.:eek:

Head to head is first, score DOES NOT matter, if they would have split and both teams would have ended 5-1 in the district then the ONLY other tiebreaker is a pill bottle draw for the 1 and 2 seeds, that's it!!
