The last post was simply for fun. I really don't want to get into a Larkey vs JB battle. I think we all need a game to get here so we will have something to talk about. lol

Yeah, but Larkey went to two different areas to watch teams play. He ate several more Hotdogs just to increase the money flow for his teams. He arrived before anyone and was the last one to leave. This thread is getting a little childish don't you think? Oh yeah!, Larkey even walked to Cumberland and Evarts both to show his support. UNREAL! LOL :banana:

How can you have a football team and not go to camp? The hardest and best time of my High school experience. Not to mention the food was great! lol

The 22nd isn't going to be anything but just a chance to see the team on the field. We need to make plans for the 29th. Any good spots across the mountain to set up the grill. Lets go BLACK BEARS, Letcher here we come!

If the school is good enough for the Parent to draw a check then it should be good enough for the student to go to school. What happens a lot of times is that because they don't have a vested interest in the school( kids going sewhere) they simply do just draw a check instead of making the school the best that it can be. I think the system needs to find another coach if this is the case. How can he/she have the best interest of the students at heart, when he will be thinking and working around his son's schedule of not only ball but academics also. I just think it puts your own kids at a disadvantage! This makes no sense to me!

I would have to disagree. The O and D line might be good and or pretty doggone good, but with backs like Simmons, Green, Gilliam, Clark, Burgan, ( the LB,FB from Evarts can't think of his name) and I know I am forgetting 2 or 3. I just can't see them being stronger on the line than the skill position. But again that is what makes it fun to sit back and guess. I do think Ison will be one of the better lineman in this part of the state. JMHO!

I love it! However, probably want get much rap about it tonight because everyone is out watching the pig roast. I had to run home and get a few things. Gotta go back. Go Bears!

3wishes, I see your point but all that matters is what the Bear Nation thinks about their season. I can tell you people understand things take time and if we win the state how great that would be to start out with a bang. If we have so-so season it was just part of the journey to greatness. If we lose every game it still will be a step in the right direction. The Bear Nation loves the Bears, Coach Larkey and the whole 9-yards. Why else would we be watching 2-pigs cook, playing corn-hole and having fellowship in a parking lot on a friday night. Go Bears!

Yeah, one good thing is that the game will be in Harlan and the cannon will be left behind. As much powder they would have had to buy for that thing it would for sure put them in budget problems. :flame:

Why if I were Breathitt I wouldn't even scout coach Larkey's Team and just send my JV across the mountain to play that bunch from the sticks. They couldn't play a radio evidently!

The only thunder brought down at practice today was from the great guy up above! Didn't you see Breathitt's post about Harlan County? Cawood, Cumberland and Evarts are all terrible so when they come together they will be real bad. Harlan County should be building for the future because according to some they can't compete within the district. This Bear fan is getting full from all this feeding.lol:thumb:

I couldn't agree more with you HDE. Harlan County didn't make the rules. I can tell you all that IF Harlan County runs away and dominates 3A, I will be tickled pink and will stand out in the rain, hail or whatever and be as fine as frog hair split four ways! Realistically, Harlan County will have a very difficult time competing in their district and a deep run in the playoffs is highly unlikely. Remember, as someone already noted, that Cawood, Evarts and Cumberland are terrible. We are building for the future and this season is step in that process. No need to worry about us.lol GO BLACK BEARS!

Henson, Shack and Hensley all had great games and could of very easily been the mvp. However, they had a co-mvp that night of the coke bowl both from Cawood. ???????????????????
