I was also at this scrimmage. It was a typical summer game, very little calls made. Too early in the year to be predicting, I would not count anyone out based on the first scrimmage of the year.

I was not aware of a region all-star team. How is this selected?

I don't think the 8th region is down, Carroll just played a good game. They have had their good games and bad games. Overall a pretty good season. Go Panthers! :thumb:

Carroll played very well. If it had not been for a couple of mental errors Carroll could have won. Great showing by the Panthers!!

I've seen Carroll play and I wouldn't count them out. They are really starting to come on and are playing good team ball right now.

Carroll plays Eminence on Tuesday as well. Not sure what time. The winner will then play the winner of the Trimble / Walton game.

I believe you are correct in saying that he was supposed to have missed the FT. It's did seem to appear that CC gave up at the end. Congrats to the Raiders for playing thru until the game was over. It seems like a lot has not worked exactly right for CC this year. Looking forward to next year . . I see a lot of young talent. should be exciting to watch them grow. Just look how they started the game off tonight and they started 3 sophmores.

I hear that they still have Wilhoite and Larimore that are supposed to be pretty good. I have also heard that Ricketts will be doing more pitching this year and has been throwing pretty good in the pre-season. As far as Woods, I believe that you are correct in that he is not going to be playing this year. One reason I heard was due to the large number of honors classes he is taking, he is in the running for the govenors scholar program. I am also looking forward to what the new coach has in store for Carroll this year. From what I have heard the program should benefit from the new coach.

I hear that Carroll Co had a freshman last year that hit .460 and only dressed varsity half of the year. I believe his name was Allen. Will be interesting to see how he does this year as a sophmore.
