The Lady Panthers end their season. Congratulations to Coach Mefford and the Lady Panthers. Good Luck at Western Whitney!!!:thumb:

Hate to see it end this soon. Great year, keep your heads up Lady Panthers.

I am sad it is over but it has been a wonderful year.

It is 12:16 am and my daughter is outside shooting getting ready for next year!

Congratulations Coach Mefford and the seniors we have enjoyed this season.

Congrats to the Lady Panthers on a great season. Keep your heads up and be proud. Good luck Whitney at Western, we've enjoyed watching for 4 years and look forward to seeing you play in college. Special congrats to Whitney on POY and to Coach Mefford on COY of the 8th region. :thumb:

I can only echo the sentiment shown already by others. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments.

Does anyone have any game detail?

TB&G - The SO active zone was just too much for our Panthers and our outside shots were not falling. We did cut it to 6 early in the 3rd but just could not get there.

SO had a good game plan.

Only 3 Panthers scored and only 2 (Ballinger and Lowe) hit a shot from the field.

Did Carroll have some players missing?

Did Carroll have some players missing?

Not literally but figuratively. Ballinger didn't have any help whatsoever. I thought SO had an outstanding game plan. Their size gave Carroll fits all night and was just too much for the Lady Panthers to overcome. Whitney had 20 points and 12 boards and was clearly the best player on the floor but she had to do it all as nobody else (with the exception of Lowe, who had nine points) could hit a shot or grab a rebound. Excellent game by South Oldham.

The games that I have witnessed I have noticed that Ballinger did have help from other players but chose not to use them at times. Whitney is a tremendous player and had a great year, but I do think that she needs to critique some things to get ready for WKU. College is a whole different level and speed of game. As for nobody hitting a shot, you are 100% correct. I have never seen the Lady Panthers shoot as poorly as they did. One thing that I did see that I was proud of was that the girls did not stop shooting. Some would miss the first two or three shots and gave up, but Carroll did not. Good season Lady Panthers and best of luck in the coming years. Special best of luck to Whitney Ballinger and Jacquelyn Lowe in the future! :thumb:
