If your studies are any indication of your picks your in trouble. HDE has a much better take on the region than you do. No offense but when it comes to Pineville you seem to be very offensive to everyone else. Rankings don't mean anything. The NFL proved that this year for sure. In a few weeks Pineville will get to walk that Isle! WOOOOOOOOOOOO! Bubba for President!

Bands add to the excitement and atmosphere. It seems to me that by allowing the band members free admission you will be picking up moms, dads, brothers, and sisters that would have to pay and that should more than make up for allowing the band in for free.

I think that unless you are the coach you have no idea what is "right." Do coaches make mistakes? Absolutely. Does the Burg have a young coaching staff? Absolutely. If I were coaching a tight game I would definetly want the ball in the hands of my best player. Tough loss for the Jackets. Good win and freethrow shooting down the stretch for the Wildcats.

Les, did Barbourville become 10th by beating Lynn Camp in the All "A"? It seems to me that Bell or Middlesboro would be a better choice.

What's wrong with Lynn Camp's gym? Is Pineville's gym better?

The refs definetly can change and do change the outcome of games. Especially in the 13th region where there is no accountability for refs. I have seen refs not call fouls on certain players until the 2nd half because that player is "untouchable." Anyone who believes that a ref doesn't sometimes determine the outccome of a game is badly mistaken. There are teams that both our football and basketball teams play that you have to be 10-20 points better than to beat. I feel that the KHSAA needs to have a better accountability system in place. Some regions have excellent Ref Associations and accountability, while others have nothing. A team in the area that I follow has lost 5 games this year by 6 points or less and in all 5 games the refing made a difference. I don't disagree that the kids should decide the game, but refs can win or lose a close game, they can also keep a game close. In the 13th Region All "A" the foul calling was so lopsided against one team that it kept the other team in the game and that team ended up winning. The fouls where 10 or 11 in the first half to 3. It's hard to beat a team when they shoot three times as many free throws.

If all you do is "work the refs," then how can you coach? However a certain amount of "working" is needed. Especially in the 13th where the refs aren't exactly held accountable by anyone else.

This has been called more times than I can count in the 13th Region. I think it should be a foul until the shooter is firmly planted again.

Now everybody you all haft to admit Lynncamp didnt have one of there best games. They didnt play good at all in the 1,2,or 3 quarter they finally started playing in the 4 quarter. and they came back so i think you all need to give lynncamp there props cause i expect big things for them in the all "A" and District time.

I saw a coach walk up to a referee on a dead ball at half court and he whispered "throw me out of this game, or I'm really going to cause a scene.":sssh: I'm not sure if he didn't want to coach in the next game, or he was just trying to fire his guys up. The opposing team couldn't figure out what had happened, but the referee told their head coach after the game, which is how I heard the story. Watching the game all you see is the coach walk up to and whisper to the ref, I couldn't imagine what he was saying. I sure thought it was more than asking to be thrown out.

I think it will be a good game. I think that Whitley Co. has the upper hand, but its at the Burg, so who knows. It could go either way. I think no more than an 10 point game either way. Whitley 66 Williamsburg 58

I think constistency is definetly an issue for the Camp. As for the Evarts game that was LCs third game of the week. Including a heartbreaking loss to a very good Jackson Co. Team. I think the spread was more like 30 rather than 60 if I'm not mistaken. I don't beleive that Jackson Co. outplayed LC as much as LC played themselves out of the game. A few stupid mistakes and they took themselves right out of it. It was an even game for almost three quarters.

Why is it that when a team like Pineville, undoubtedly an excellent team, plays a tem like Lynn Camp, they (Pineville) have a bad game when it is close? Could it actually be that Lynn Camp played very well and that they are actually a better team than anyone wants to give them credit for being? I have seen that LC bunch play and they have talent, athleticism, and most importantly heart. I wouldn't count them out of the All "A" chase just yet. :sssh:

Oh, kinda like the ky team in 96? They shot a lot of threes real athletic very deep and sometimes gave up a lot of points. I would much rather see a game 95-88 as one 45-35. No doubt Cumberland has an amazing team and great defense. Don't understand why your so negative about Lynn Camp. Were just a small all A school. Maybe you should watch them play sometime.

Great game! Cats will only get better. Awesome defense by the cats. Lynn Camp had five players foul out. Strange got 27 pts from the foul line. If Lynn Camp hits shots they normally make they win by double digits. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season. Hopefully the two teams get to lock it up again.
