Mason will win this matchup. Clark County was exploited off the dribble last night by Campbell County. Hatton and Stenzel are nice offensive players but will have to play both ends in order for the game to stay respectable. I find it funny that many Cards fans keep stating that they played so bad last night. Could it be that Campbell County played well last night and that Montgomery County simply didn't show up in the district final?

Your statement leaned toward the idea that CCHS (players/staff) have never been in the 10th, not towards coaching experience. CCHS and BBHS have been members since 96. The game Saturday was a joy to watch and I have seen these ball clubs on a couple occassions this year. I think they are heading in positive directions and could make some noise the next few years, maybe more. One thing is true though, after watching 10th Region basketball for 15 years 16 and 17 year olds are unpredictable, anything can happen...look at our District, the 40th, didn't think that was going happen!!!

Sounds like a knock to me Mr. Mix...so I did a little research. Code was a lead asst. at BBHS for 3 years in which they were strong Region Contenders being ousted by high caliber teams such as Pendleton (Mains, Belcher, Verax, Elliot, etc.) and Mason (do we really need to talk about their roster). Then another member of their staff (Ensweiller sp.) was a member of their 2000 10th Region Championship/ Elite Eight Team at BBHS. I think the coaches have been their, done that...agree CC laid an egg against Scott but do some fact finding before you knock on somebody's door;) Again, Scott High vs. Clark County...Sunday Afternoon for the Crown 3:30pm

Campbell has two all region players in Albrecht and Nerl. Clark has two as well in Hatton and Stenzel. It will come down to the supporting cast of both teams. Tempo of the game will be the key. It seems like the three is a huge component of the Cardinals gameplan.

Great phantom charge call or should I say flop at the end. Once again a referee tries to make himself part of the outcome. Camels up three with the ball and he doenst call the hold of the jersey. The play before he called a hold on the same exact play that put Nerl on the line. Camels should be up five, but instead give free throws to the eagles. Just saw it on ICN...what a joke!

I agree with you Gold Sunrise. From what I have heard Campbell's freshman are quite talented. What does Clark have left in the Freshman class that will play Wednesday night?

That indeed makes things interesting. Two starting varsity players with chances of going to the Regional Tourney for Varsity playing in the Freshman regional. Maybe Stenzel for Clark should make the trip against Campbell:laugh:

After watching the Campbell/Holmes game last night, I couldn't help but wonder ... which schools out there have student cheering sections that really get into the game? You know ... who has that "sixth man" that really gets their team fired up? Campbell County's gym felt like a morgue last night. Campbell had Holmes on the ropes and most of the student body sat in the stands without cheering or saying a word. So ... which schools have the advantage when playing at home? Who has the best student cheering sections?

The freshmen and JV games were back and forth...both games came down to the last few possessions. Scott will be fine...they have some young talent in the freshmen and sophomore class plus their juniors are talented just inexperienced...not to mention an excellent coaching staff. No doubt Coach Carr will get them where they need to be when district play rolls around and the future is bright!

It was evident that the Camels took to heart some of the comments posted earlier. Their free throw shooting was outstanding tonight! :sssh:

As a bystander, but follower of both schools, I find it interesting all the bashing that goes on between both schools. Why can't everyone get along? I know that Coach Maddie and Enzweiler are the best of friends and they went to the rival schools. This thread is about the next coach, not how CCHS is trying to hire Brossart coaches, etc. I realize that BBHS has enormous success the last few years and CCHS has faltered, but in all respects isn't it about the community and the kids? Mike Code is an excellent coach and everyone knows it, so let it be. He does get the best out of his kids, but they have been talented as well. Please don't make this about Brossart and Campbell, it's about both programs bringing out the best in their players.
