After watching the Campbell/Holmes game last night, I couldn't help but wonder ... which schools out there have student cheering sections that really get into the game? You know ... who has that "sixth man" that really gets their team fired up?

 

Campbell County's gym felt like a morgue last night. Campbell had Holmes on the ropes and most of the student body sat in the stands without cheering or saying a word.

 

So ... which schools have the advantage when playing at home? Who has the best student cheering sections?

If you noticed, bigblueinsanity is from Mason County, and he is telling you that :thumb:. Mason County was nice enough early in the season, when CovCath played at Mason County, to invite the CovCath Crazies to attend the game free of charge, and from seeing the game live, and in talking to the MC fans after the game, most of them got as much of a kick out of the Crazies as they did in seeing Mason County beat CovCath. If you haven't had the chance to watch the CovCath Crazies in action, you really should. They are a fun group of kids to watch.

They are amazing and are really a 6th man.

Cov. Cath's fans are number one in the state hands down!

Franklin County has an awesome cheering section. If i were an opposing team i would hate it, they stand really close to the court and are loud

That's great when a school cvan have the students stick together like a sixth man. For Elliott I would think it is the whole community that is behind them.

Elliott's principal does not allow the student section to cheer.

Cov Catholic fans by far. They even travel well.

The kids at Campbell treat the game as a purely social event and either don't cheer or don't even watch the game. It's ridiculous. Tho only game they ever get up for is the brossart game. I agree CovCath's section is second to none. Not just because they always are in the game at home but because they all make the trip to the away games and are a factor there too.

Why? I know the Adults cheer like heck!

Covington Catholic stands alone and are second to no one.

No one is better. I'm not even a CovCath grad. Everyone in the state has to agree that htey are the best. If you don't, then you haven't seen them.

There is about 3 to 5 girls or women that cheer really loud. When I went to school in the late 70's and early 80's. Holmes was filled and very loud. My son plays 7th and 8th grade and our fans are louder. :sssh: :confused: Cov Cath has great fan support.
