  1. Josh Gambrel didnt play 2 bad, he came up with some big hits during the ball game
  2. Tim Melton from Knox Central should be added to the list! He lost 7 seniors last year, which all started, and he has came up with some big wins this year from the younger guys, like South Laurel, Middlesboro,Whitley, basically all the 50th district. They play Corbin in not two long.
  3. The Yellow Jackets came back from a Harlan 5-1 led to win the 13th. Region 8-6. Great Pitching by Shelley and Witt. Way to go Jackets.
  4. Williamsburg came back from being behind 4-1 at the beginning of the 7th inning and scored 5 to make the score 6-4. Hits by Witt, Moses, Root, & Teague came at a good time. Go Jackets!!! Good Luck with Harlan.
  5. Yes, Smith pitched the first game. The kid is an excellent pitcher. I don't know who pitched the second game . South used 2 pitchers and they were both good. Both teams played well tonight.
  6. Williamsburg-South Laurel split games. Game 1 - South 11, Williamsburg 1 Game 2 - Williamsburg 5, South 3. Great pitching from Smith, Witt, & Shelley.
  7. The Williamsburg Yellow Jackets defeated Pineville with a 16-1 win Thursday night in the 13th Region All "A" Tournament. The Yellow Jackets hit 4 homeruns. Geoffery Witt, Will Moses, & Jacob Teague combined to send 4 out-of-the-park. Way to go Jackets!
  8. Witt and Shelley combined to get the Jackets the win. While Pittman and Hoskins would go the the other Jackets. This was one great game to watch!
  9. Who would be your top ten in the 13th region right now??
  10. Clay seemed a little out of sorts. They are much better than they played tonight. Williamsburg's pitching was excellent. Witt performed well on the mound.
  11. 4 in a row for the Jackets. Way to go, Team.
  12. 3 in a row for the Jackets. Keep up the good work.
  13. Carefull witht hat score it might be off 1 or 2 but Williamsburg defeats North Laural with shelly getting the win. Nice win for the jackets.
  14. Just a question but, if there were more than 5 players on the court at the end of the game, with only 2+ seconds to go on the clock could a player have just been prematurly celebrating and not actually participating in the game? I can see the bench getting excited and jumping up, maybe moving onto the floor. I hate to see controversy at the end of what seems to have been a great game.
  15. I listened to the game on the radio and it was exciting. I bet the atmosphere was great at the actual game. It sounded like Corbin and South played their best and both should be proud. As for the refs and whatever calls were seen as questionable, someone posted on another thread a while back that, "There are only 3 people watching the game with their eyes, everyone else is watching with their hearts". I know that it's a bit sappy but it sounded nice.
  16. Do you think that playing such a close, hard game last night will help or hurt the Redhounds tonight? The Cards played a great game as well but the Bell/Corbin game was tighter with the O.T..
  17. Sounds like he is a great player. It will be fun to watch him play over the next couple of years. Hope tonight goes as well for the Hounds.
  18. I agree, LuvBasketball. No one that I know of is unhappy. We are all looking forward to next season WITH Coach Robinson at the head of our little family.
  19. I listened to the last part of the game on the radio on the way home from work. I thought that I was going to have to pull over till it was over. Sounds like it was a great game for both teams.. Good luck to Corbin tomorrow against South. I hope that they all rest well tonight. I can't imagine Madison Johnson calming down any time soon. That's once in a lifetime shoot. I hope someone got it on film for him.

  21. You are right, Bubba. I don't really know what I'm talking about enough to make a good point or should I say explain my point.
  22. I don't think that the age difference is as noticable at the college level. The difference in the levels of physical and mental ability is greater between a 15 year old and a 18 year old than it is between a 20 year old and a 23 year old. Why do so many people site the fact that the Redhounds age is a liabilty for them when it somes to playing a team such as South Laurel? That's also been an issue in the game predictions in their game against Bell.
  23. You are a smart man, Bubba, and thanks for excusing the 13th district statement. We all make mistakes every now and then. You're also right about the parent thing but not about the justifing. I should have held back but like I said before, now that I know better, I can do better.
  24. In what thread would you prefer that I ask this question? It wasn't meant to take away from the talent of Johnson, Crawford, or anyone else for that fact. It was what is was, a question. I saw the article on Johnson, which I thought was very nice, and the age thing came to mind. I guess it's a personal thing for me. I realize that 90% of the kids are held back but I have a hard time not comparing ages. I'm not whining, Bubba. I can't change the past. Now that I know better, I can do better. Age does make a difference. If it didn't, then why hold back to start with? And as for you, Les, I meant to say the 50th. District. You know what I meant. I had the 13th. on my mind because of the regionals. I wouldn't be so quick to point out everyone elses typos when you could stand to purchase a dictionary yourself.
