Deja vu!! Like I stated before and you seem to be missing it....Good coaching can get you open looks regardless of height. If you dont believe that you havent paid any attention to all the games you ve watched. I have watched plenty of small and undertalented teams win ballgames because COACH makes them very patient in the offense and they get plenty of wide open looks and one guy isnt running down and launching it every time. As for the hand in the face most coaches set a screen or a double screen to get shooter open within his range. Believe me it happens all the time just not at Elliott.:thumb: As for Blake Bryan he is more talented than Cody and them but his opposition was way more talented than fairview also. He scored a lot because he had help(coach) in getting shots. I watched him play ....did you?

We wont do that even though he did take several shots while being double and triple teamed. But what we can do is tell it like it is and that is the size doesnt matter. You can run offensive sets for people and get them open if they are 3 ft tall. If your theory was true 5' 7"(cats pause height listing) Blake Bryan would not have led the state in scoring last year at 30.2 ppg. That also was in a lot more talented region with taller players than fairview has. Shots can be more distributed on any team regardless of height of opposition. That is my opinion!

What brought this on?

Elliott has several more shot options. Ison is 6'6", Nickell has been shooting over lot taller comp his whole career and so has Faulkner. Thats what coaches are for anyway is to get the short guys shots too with offensive plays.

I am pretty sure Knipp is averaging close to 30 shots a game and around 31 pts per game. I noticed the big Ison kid was scoring in the 20's and double digit rebounds about every game in the beginning, and now you dont hear nothin about him. Has he been sick.....or just isn't getting any shot's?

FYI, Amos has been out of town hunting. Don't worry, Amos is not afraid to show up for discussion. And he also never said he thought they were better, he said players parent's said they were better. Although the statement might not have been touted on here it was told to several people in Sandy Hook by more than one of the players parents. What is really amazing....I think they really believed it!

Should be Elliott by a bunch. I have not saw either play but I have heard more than once that Elliott is better this year than the previous.

According to popular opinion in SANDY HOOK this years team will be better than last 4yrs. Im sure they will win several games as the schedule is not even close to what the others played.

You People....hmmmm. Every one is entitled to their own opinion about Coaches, players and teams. Just because it doesn't correlate with your's is no reason to label someone. No one has to create anything. These kid's will be expected to win a regional title. Whether they get it done or not remains to be seen. About the head coach change.....all the years you(or your player) were involved with the Elliott team they had a winning record and went to state. Why the contempt for the coach unless of course it was a I, me, or mine thing because the TEAM did fantastic. You get it...the TEAM.
