  1. It wasn’t a delay of game. It was a false start due to movement from HHS defense followed by another false start due to an air horn. I was still on that end of the field when it happened.
  2. I don’t know if they get their face beat in. Last year they almost beat Dixie according to the KHSAA website.
  3. It’s the the triple option. It’s the wing-t. It does sound like they are doing a good job which is difficult to do.
  4. If you look at most games on the KHSAA site the numbers don’t always match. When I say most I mean probably 51% or more don’t match. I’d say most people don’t know how to correctly do stats. If a team uses Hudl for stats well lord help them because especially for football that stuff gets jacked up.
  5. Across the board I’m going with Scott Co having a better OL and DL collectively.
  6. The number of teams that have scored 50+ on Scott Co over the years is pretty small. The number of teams that have scored 40 on them is still pretty small. I don’t think it is very likely Cooper breaks 40.
  7. They are better on the backend then they’ve been in a few years and past teams with players like Key and Crowdes they’ve been able to hold their own. Cooper doesn’t have the kids Boyle has. Scott Co has the dudes. Do they have one of the best secondaries in the state? I don’t know. I know they can answer the bell though.
  8. Scott Co has the backend to cover Cooper. Then there is of course their version of the wing-t. The scout team at Cooper is going to have a miserable week trying to replicate that. Scott Co wins with maybe a score that looks a little closer than what the game really is.
  9. Completion percentage is down. Yardage, TDs in the passing game are up. Increase in rushing and rushing TDs. I believe a decrease in INTs.
  10. Off topic a little but how many people who look or point at test scores have ever even seen the test? Like others have said there also a lot of other factors that go into testing. I believe before this season started Scott was still looking for principal positions. Unstable at the top makes things difficult. It appears as time has gone on people have much less of an idea of what it truly takes to become and stay a successful football program. If you look at the top programs and see the support they get in school schedule, financial resources (be it school or boosters), administration (building and district) and demographics you can see why there is such a gap between many programs. I’m not sure why fans feel HS football is either like college or just so easy to do certain things. I’d say the average fan doesn’t know the cost to have a game, equipment, maintenance or other limitations/obstacles programs have. Heck I feel a lot forget you’re dealing with 14-19 year old kids.
  11. Get rid of districts. Find some way to qualify for the playoffs like a point system or something. Getting rid of districts solves a number of regular season and should solve some of the playoff issues.
  12. It’s not necessarily a district thing as much as an in building thing. The top people have to make an investment. Also just because schools are in the same district doesn’t mean it’s a priority or that things are equal.
  13. Football is a sport that takes a major investment by a district to succeed. Some districts either can’t or won’t make that happen investment. It’s not only money but school schedule and other factors.
  14. Coach Burke isn’t the first coach (nor will he be the last) to win district coach of the year with a sub .500 record. This in part the difference between coaches and fans. The award for is for best coach and not best record. It is completely possible that more coaches in that district believed he did a better coaching job than others. One thing coaches realize is that a coach can do an amazing job and end up 0-10 and another can do an average job and be 10-0.
  15. Thankfully not lol. He used up all of his eligibility playing HS football from the 2nd grade on I believe. That is why we have the “Dennis Johnson” rule.
  16. I have real clue at Dixie past seeing a few games. I’ve read the same type of comments over the years about CCH, Highlands and some other schools.
  17. I see stuff like this a lot. What exactly is imagination on offense?
  18. It was a thing in the 4 class system also. There were also teams that finished 0-10 that won in the first round.
  19. The problem of this is districts. There are some loaded districts and some weak districts. Do away with districts and it makes more sense. There are a number of districts where 3 and sometimes 4 would beat the the 2 and maybe 1.
  20. I’m 93 Bullitt Central was 0-10 and won their first round playoff game. They lost the next week to North Harden.
