  1. Why did they put these new rules into place? Any reason for it?
  2. I fully agree with your first statement and obviously the kid can play. I was just telling oldonetechnique my views on his perception of an athletes weight gain possibilites.
  3. Im going with Chuck Smith on this one. Took a school that was a nobody, to being almost simply unbeatable. And since he left, the teams havent been the same.
  4. Yeah 30 lbs is attainable if a kid has never worked out before. If hes a pretty good kid in the weight room already, yes he can gain weight and get stronger once he gets to college, but be realistic. If a kid was to gain 30 lbs, chances are that isnt going to be ALL muscle either.
  5. 30 lbs of muscle? Some of you folks kill me. Do you realize how much that is?
  6. Cold weather + Speedy Backs= Tight hamstrings and a few of the backs had been battling hamstring problems all year. So I dont think the weather helped Mercer that much.
  7. Thank you. Thats the way I feel about it too.
  8. I was wondering if Clark and Willis are going to continue their careers onto the college level? Do they have any offers?
  9. Classy post man. I wish your Red Devils luck in the future. They play hard and nasty, just the way football is meant to be played.
  10. I was just poking a little fun.
  11. OK, he keeps the ball in his hands and hes stopped. Russell then has the ball on the 1 yards line. He fumbles and Russell gets it in the end zone for a touchback, then they have the ball on the 20. Once again, Ill take my chances with protecting the football.
  12. Obviously we have differing opinions on the subject but do you honestly think the QB had enough time to think in his head during the play, ok, try for the first down, oh ok, im stopped, I think I should fumble the ball on purpose, maybe that will work? I dont quite think so, but you can keep telling yourself that, if it makes you feel better.
  13. So, according to Red Devils Rule, Ryle is the 4A State Champs?
  14. Do you really need to use the Caps Lock button all the time?
  15. There is more good to come out of keeping the ball in your hands than there is the ball leaving your hands. And those players that you see doing it are undisciplined.
  16. Get a clue? You have no clue. A players number one responsibilty with the ball in his hands is not to fumble the ball.
  17. Fumble on purpose? Come on now. Any football player with half a brain would not have tried to fumble on purpose on that play.
  18. Anybody know why Mercer Co. had to kick off at the start of both halfs? Somebody said it was Mercers fault, but I never got a good explanation.
  19. Just going with a gut feeling here. Mercer 28 Russell 21
  20. Yes, I have been reading, for quite awhile and I still stand by my comments. You dont have to listen to a "new sign up" tell you how to post. Thats fine, but then, you will continue to act childish on an internet message board.
  21. I will keep an eye on #56 on Friday, he sounds like a player.
  22. I know you dont get on here with those intentions, but when these things do happen, we should all just take a step back, take a breath and realize were adults.
