  1. If they've been locked up very long, the truck was most likely found at Racers.
  2. Ribeyes with baked potatoe and grilled asperagus for us today. :thumb:
  3. I've been handed a few tickets I didn't think I deserved, but I just look at it as the law of averages catching up for all those times I should have gotten one and a cop wasn't around to see my rolling stop or see me run a red light. I don't like getting them, but if you look at it this way, it's hard to get too mad.
  4. They may be required to post all jobs, even if they have someone for it already.
  5. I didn't watch last night. I was too busy watching L'ville women knock Rutgers out of the Big East Tourney. But you did what I like to do. I enjoy finding shows from when I was a kid and watching them with my folks. It's a good way to see if they still remember and check on whether the old timers has set in yet.
  6. Then why did you choose Ashland in the poll? Was it a sympathy vote?
  7. Smokey and the Bandit. My folks took us to the old drive-inn in Summit. I don't remember the name of the place.
  8. Mr. Cartoon for me. Mon-Fri 4pm. I couldn't wait to get home from school and turn on WSAZ. His sidekick, Beeper, was cool. My only problem with the show was I couldn't understand how Mr. Cartoon and the weather man, Jules Huffman, looked so much alike.
  9. Hee Haw was great! RFDTV has brought it back. It comes on Sunday nights at 8:00. The skits are just as funny now as they were when I was a kid.
  10. If you're going the vaseline on the car route, then wait until it is about to rain and put big globs a vaseline on his windshield just above the wipers. When he turns the wipers on, it will spread out covering the windshield with a slime that is impossible to remove.
  11. When they are sleeping, Saran Wrap them to the bed. Go around and around them and the bed with Saran wrap. Cover their entire body, arms, legs, everything except face. Then throw a blanket over them, so when they wake up, they won't know why they can't move. They will just know they can't. If they are inclined to be afraid of confined spaces, this makes this prank even better. BTW, if you can catch them asleep in a chair, it makes this much easier to do, and you will need an accompice.
  12. I dated a girl several years ago (almost 20) that had a dad that was consumed by "UK Fever". He would record every single game, then watch them over and over, taking notes. He would stop, rewind, start again, take more notes. He would then fax his "game notes" and a complete game summary to the UK athletic office, convinced they would make it into Pitino's hands. I have seen a lot of dedicated fans, but this is the most pathetic thing I have ever witnessed regarding college sports.
  13. No. He was home-schooled until he started at Rose Hill. I don't recall which grade he started going to school, but his mother didn't start his education until he was 6, rather than 5. He has progressed thru each grade since, without any hold backs. And I can assure you, he wasn't started late for sports.
  14. Oh no! A thread not praising the greatness of Elliott County. Thank you, EC12, for bringing us back on the proper course. Without your guidance and wisdom, this thread could get way off track.
  15. Mike Terry is the real deal. He is blessed with size, but works hard to show that he isn't just a big man. He has skills.
  16. You must hate reading some of the post's on here. (I did that on purpose)
  17. To me, that is seperate from tithing. That is, IMO, an offering. Your tithe should still go into the storehouse (local church) to be used for greater good. There is certainly nothing wrong with donating or giving of your time to worthwhile social or community groups, but that really needs to be set apart from what you are giving to God. My wife's favorite charity is St. Jude's. (Mine is the Cleveland Browns) St. Jude's is a great thing and provide for services I wish we didn't need, but the funds that go to them are extra and above the tithing I feel is required to go to your local church. I feel the same way about televangelism. Some of these guys are the real deal and the money sent to them goes to a great work, but they are not the ones that will be sitting with you in the ER at 2am when a family member has had an accident or you would ask to preach a loved ones funeral. It will be your local preacher.
  18. CNN closes the story saying the cause of death is not known. HE WAS 90!!!
  19. The timeout Cooksey called with just a little over a second left lost this game. Ashland was out of t/o's. They couldn't stop the clock. He did it for them and gave them a chance to set up a play. If Ashland would have had to make the inbounds play on the fly, I believe this game would have had a different ending.
  20. I believe all of your tithe should go to your local church. If you don't like how they spend it, then get more involved with business meetings and make suggestions on how the money should be spent. My wife and I give at least 10% of our income to our church. The church, in turn, takes our money and puts it with the other members money and does a lot of good work. We support 33 missionary's worldwide, have a foodbank that is totally funded by the church, and have several other projects and activities that would not be possible if all the members used the "spread the wealth" mentality while tithing. We have a full time pastor, and even more important, a full time youth pastor. This is a great thing. he stays involved with our kids, and is even able to go to school and have lunch with them on occasion. Being that we are in a depressed rural area, one of the best uses of our money is our bus ministry. We have 7 busses that run, go on bus visitation every Sat morning, and provide the bus kids with a great breakfast every Sunday morning before Sunday School. The local church, IMO, is the best resourse to utilize the funds God has blessed us all with. As far as extra offerings such as a love offering or a collection for a specific purpose, they are just that - extra. These should not be considered a part of your normal tithe.
