  1. To think that he is not getting good equipment from HMS is crazy. Rick Hendricks has always expected all his drivers to be competitive. That's why the 25 car went thru so many drivers. He gives everyone the tools to win. It's the personel not getting the job done. I personally think it's Eury. Hendrick should have made Darien Grubb the crew chief on the 88. If he had, he wouldn't have lost him to Tony Stewart. Whatever the reason is, a major shake-up needs to happen. If Jr can't win, he won't stay popular for long. Bobby Labonte is past champion, but hasn't been competitive in years. I wonder how much he's made on T-shirt sales this year.
  2. Gabriel Marie works great for my daughter.
  3. Throw the SOAP network in here, and that would be my list.
  4. I've had success with several baits already listed. Chicken livers, night crawlers, and shad guts seem to work the best.
  5. I agree we need other sources or energy and to me, nuclear is a no-brainer. As for wind turbines being an eyesore, I have to disagree. I was driving on I-20 recently in the Sweetwater/Abilene, TX area. There are several wind farms with hundreds of tubines in this area. I always look at how graceful they are. The fans move so slowly, it is hard to imagine just how much work they are doing. They are sitting on useless land that is infested with rattlesnakes and much to rocky and hilly to ever serve any other purpose. They contribute greatly to the local economy, not just in jobs, but in tax revenue, as they greatly increase the valuation of this otherwise useless land. To me the wind turbines are no more of an eyesore than the skyscrapers and tall buildings that create the skyline of every city and town in America.
  6. Bush 41 certainly did "reach across the aisle" by appointing Souter. I won't argue with you about the rest. Obama won and he can appoint whatever left leaning, democracy destroying liberal he wants to. I was only answering your question about George Herbert Walker Bush. He definately appointed a more left leaning moderate.
  7. I love A-1. The tangy taste is great. I don't always use it, but if I have a taste for it, then don't get in the way. BTW, I always laugh at the people who malign folks for using a steak sauce, but will use a rub or marinade before cooking. Either way, you are altering the taste of the steak. Whats the difference?
  8. This time of year was always good for bringing girls to softball games. I used to play in 2 different leagues, and it was a;ways good to bring them somewhere where you could show up 19 other grown men. Also, I used to have a friend that worked for the Corp of Engineers at the Greenup Dam. When he would owe me a favor, I would arrange to take girls there. My friend would let them operate the locks. That was a once in a lifetime deal for them, and always worked out great for me. Nowadays, dates for the wife and I consist of taking our kids to whatever they are involved in. I have to say, I like this just as well as any of the stuff I did 15 years ago.
  9. The person most disappointed with this news has to be Frank Caliendo. First he loses Bush, and now Madden. Rough way to start the year.
  10. They don't have to say it. Everytime they vote for a spending bill that provides for public funding for abortion clinics, they are saying "I'm pro abortion!". Each vote to allow late term abortion screams pro abortion. A reluctance to stand up against abortion is a statement in favor for it.
  11. The abortion issue has been beat to death on here.:deadhorse: It has been concluded several times that (1) both sides feel they are 100% right and (2) no one from the oposing view could have anything to say that would change how I feel. That is probably why there has been a lack of activity in this thread.
  12. If your dad is being taken care of by the gov't, he should be fine. I have a distributor in Mexico City. When I go down there, they pick me up at the airport, put me up in hotels with good security, and basically take care of my every need. I feel safe, but I would not want to be on my own down there. As far as Cancun goes, I would not leave the resort. That is why they are "all inclusive". They know it's not safe for you, so they provide everything for you.
  13. These shipping companies have to take some of the responsibility here. They are doing business in a dangerous area of the world. They need to have private security (armed mercenaries) on these ships. They also need to keep an arsenal available for the crew members to access. To my understanding, these pirates are approaching these huge ocean going vessels in small rubber watercrafts. They fire over the deck to get it cleared, then it is easy for them to get aboard. A few 50 caliber machine guns with the right man pulling the trigger would go a long ways in repelling this type of attack. Private companies doing business in other dangerous areas have to provide for their own safety (oil companies in the Middle East). Why can't these shipping companies do the same?
  14. With 3 older brothers, I would think the boys would be walking on egg shells around her.
  15. Sounds good to me. I realize you can't get them all. But you can't get any if you don't try.
  16. This is rewarding someone for breaking our laws. This is as black and white as any situation could ever be. It is wrong! It is a slap in the face of every immigrant that has ever bided their time and come here the legal way. Saying there are so many illegals here, you could never deport them all is like saying there are so many felons that own guns, we should just let them all own guns. This is just another way of buying votes. The latino community will applaud this and it will motivate them even more to support the liberal agenda of Obama and the democrats. You can't change the laws to benefit you, but this is exactly what they are doing.
  17. Lady Cards to the final game.:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa
