Ashland or Elliott who goes to Rupp?
I would have to agree with you. They are going to be unbelieveable in two years. I'll take Elliot by 8.

Kentucky Christian U signees list!
I found this great article about KCU recruit Keith Smith from Scott County. Seems like a young man with great character that has overcome adversity to get where he his. http://www.georgetownnews.com/articles/2006/10/24/sports/sports01.txt

Russell 60 Rose Hill 54 I think that Russell's defense is just too much.

Kentucky Christian U signees list!
Well, there are now 52 recruits on the page compared to about 42 that were on there on Sunday. I'm not sure who was and wasn't but I think that these for sure are new:Ryan Wolz, Shayne Willis, Brett Weaver, William Warren, John Rader, Chad Dyer, Drew Dawson I know most of those just were added on the website. I could be forgetting some or maybe a couple were on there previously.

If you check out http://www.kcufootball.com , it has just been updated with another 6-8 new recruits. I don't know anything about any of the new ones, but if you do, share the knowledge.

Kentucky Christian U signees list!
Basically, they discussed how Damron's goal for the program is to win a Victory Bowl (the championship of NCCAA football) then hopefully in the future move to NAIA or NCAA III. He had an authentic concern about the other sports programs at the school and did not want to push the move if the other sports were not ready. Very Classy IMHO. He ran off the 2007 JV schedule and did mention that the first varsity game in 2008 will be against Virginia-Wise University. He said that he has had tons of offers from schools to be added to their schedule for 2008. They didn't talk much about specific recruits besides Aaron Miller. He mentioned his goal to recruit this region hard and give those players that would not normally have an opportunity to play at the next level a chance to do so. He talked a little about the new facility and said it would be a 3,000-3,500 seat complex for football and soccer. The building would have offices, weight room, locker rooms for soccer and football. He said something about how the locker room will be able to go from two visiting soccer locker rooms to one bigger one for football. I guess it will have some sort of divider between the two that can be removed. Coach also had very high things to say about KCU itself and mentioned its academics and Christian atmosphere. It's been a while since I listened to it, but that was the basis. I hope it helped.

"VanHoose High School Career Over"
My prayers go out to Jonathan and his family. I know that, even though he won't be on the court, his hard work and leadership will spill over onto the court. The other guys on the team have learned a lot from him and will have that knowledge and experience Friday night and in Morehead. Good luck Jonathan in the future. By the way, has anyone heard anything about Blair turning his ankle in practice on Thursday. I know he did, but wasn't sure of the severity.

I just received some really bad news. Dick Damron's cancer is already into Stage 3. The doctors are deciding whether or not they are going to try and treat it. Please pray for Dick and his family. He is an amazing man and this would be a devasting loss for KCU and the city of Grayson.

Who is your region's "Player of the Year"
No question, the 16th region's POY is Jessica Fortman.

If you go to http://www.kcufootball.com there is a link to a great interview with Coach Damron by Morehead State radio. He sounds very high on the team and has some pretty high goals set for the program. He also used the interview as a way to reach out to the community and brag on the school. I don't think KCU could have picked a better coach. By the way, please pray for Coach Damron's father, Dick Damron. He had surgery a couple days ago to remove a cancerous mass on his stomach. They removed the mass, but found that it has spread into the top of his small intestine. Dick Damron is a legend in the area. He coached the KCU basketball team for many years, winning 4 National Championships. He is also a history professor and minister. He is a great man and a huge part of KCU. Please pray.

Kentucky Christian U signees list!
I know, UKCATSFAN. I was just stating how silly arguing about this is. Some people are ignorant to facts and like to stir up trouble. My post was more pointed at other unnamed posters. I just think it's ridiculous to say that one kid is better than another when they have not seen one of the parties play often or at all. Anyway.... RB WAYNE STEVENS from Bath Co. just signed with KCU!!!

Kentucky Christian U signees list!
Boy, I sure am glad that I started this KCU signees thread. I didn't know it would turn into this. Maybe I could rename it the "Kasey Clark Haters" thread or the "Kasey Clark is God" thread. Either one would show both sides don't you think? In all seriousness, I agree with whoever it was that mentioned that a 17 year old does not need to be "bashed" (my quote). But on the other hand, a 17 year old does not need to have too high of expectations put on them. Kasey Clark is not going to be playing on Sundays in the future (I would love it if I ate those words in a few years) and should make his decision based on his desires for his future. He could go to a solid academic institution, play some football, graduate, and move on with his life and career. Unless you are NFL material, your college choice should not be driven by football. I hope that he is not being pressured by anyone to try to go "big-time" D-1 just to prove himself. He doesn't need to prove himself. He's already got the accolades and memories of an amazing football career. Wherever he decides to go, he may or may not add to those accolades. Either way, he will have a degree and will be set for life. I hope his decision is based on what he is comfortable with doing for his life's dreams and goals. I wish him the best.

In my humble opinion, Kasey Clark is perfect to play safety in college. He's too small for linebacker, too slow for cornerback. I didn't say he was slow before anyone jumps on me. He's just not fast enough for DB. He definitely has the hands for DB just not the speed. That's why safety is perfect. He has enough speed and good hands to help out the corners and would be a perfect size for putting the big hits on receivers up the middle. If he can show a mean streak, he could be a John Lynch-type player.

Raceland QB Scott Grizzle to Kentucky Christian University
Yes. Clint Thompson has also signed. I just saw on http://www.kcufootball.com that JT Forrest has also signed. Those 3 were the heart and soul of the Rams this year. KCU got 3 outstanding players and leaders.

Russell 63 Boyd Co 43
Very solid game all around for the Devils. They did a great job in the 4th quarter of breaking the press. I thought that Seth Harvey had a superb game off the bench in the middle of the offense. He is a good passer in the middle of the press.
