Not being rude, but if you have the time look up the scores of there games especially toward the end of the decade. I don't know how to post a link yet being a newbie and all. It's funny how 10 years changes everything.

I am by no shape or means a H supporter, but a good idea would be to use it as the team runs on the field the way Clemson uses Howard's rock in Death Valley. Someone could come up with a quote to be ecthed on the cannon and they could touch it on the way to the field.

I should've been more specific. The reason the NC vs. Bwood RIVALRY is where it is, is because NC started not only playing closer games starting the 2000 season, but also beat Bwood in the 2nd round of the 2000 playoffs (1st win since 1993 regular season). If HC could pull the upset and continue playing tight games and winning a few then this would take the rivalry to the next level. Beechwood used to pound on Newport Catholic during the 90's, people seem to forget about that.

While I think that if HC beats Newport Catholic, this "rivalry" will become a legit RIVALRY. I am taking NC by 3 td's. You have to beat a team more than once in 11 years for it to be a rivalry.

What about rhineheart from Brossart? Whoever takes over will need to step up the conditioning program currently in place.

Yes and you are are incorrect somewhat in saying I am incorrect. Newcath and NCC are the same program when it comes to boys sports.

Okay so I must admit that I am ignorant to all football facts since I am a newbie on BGP? Maybe I should've started out with "first time long time................". I, along with tons of other people thought Dixie would be top of the 6A class. The statement was made saying Dixie still was the top of the 6A class. When was NewCaths first season? Maybe Mexitucky could help me out. Obviously the more seasons you play the more regional championships you have the chance to play for. The post was set up to make it seem like HC has made a certian amount ton NCC's amount in the same amount of time.

At least be fair. NewCath has had a program for 60 years. Holy Cross has had a program for 14 years. Know the numbers before you "quote" the numbers.

Holy Cross will have to be on top of things from the get go. NewCath will have to play from the opening kickoff. NewCath should win by at least 3 TD's, but crazier things have happened.

As I know from a very, very reliable source, the refs did not have chip on their shoulder towards Trimble. My source did nothing but brag about the way they were treated by the Trimble Co. personel. The way I see it is if they are throwing flags then something is being done illegally. Quit blaming officials and man up. The better team wins regardless of what happens. From my source the flags went both ways.

Yeah because a football game is so much more important than your health. Did you not read what I posted? This is not the first time this has happened. Some times it seems like Yeagle shows up to coach when he wants. I'm not buying it. If it were the first time then yes I would but it is not.

Does anyone really actually 100% believe he has medical issues? If I were a parent and/or supporter of Lloyd Memorial I would be highly ticked. He already missed the E-Town game due to dehydration and now he has health issues? Didn't he miss the entire 2002 season due to "Health Issues"? What about Coach Lucas, I mean the guy resigns from coaching only to be brought back on staff because of Yeagle and now he's the head coach for a 2nd game already. For anyone not to think this is irresponsible is wrong. It is not like this is the first time this has happened.

I don't know if Doubles are really due out of need or tradition, but they will be around longer than we will. When i was in highschool we had 3 weeks of doubles, both sessions in full pads and full contact. The only time we weren't were on 2nd and 3rd fridays when we had scrimmages those nights, then we were in shoulder pads and helmets.

I hate to go against the grain, but I will. My Junior year we went 2-9 and my senior year we went 4-8. The next two years they went to the state finals losing 23-9 and 14-13. They've won atleast 10 games every since with 2 state titles.

I personally do not. mainly b/c alot of the current coach's at my alma mater were my coaches when I played. Plus with my luck I'd end up in a bad situation if i did ref one of their games. I would not show favoritism towards my old school but I don't want any possibility of anyone questioning my intnetions in any game.

I know it's recent, but the 2006 class A final between NewCath and Danville. NewCath is up before Danville scores on a screen pass right before half. newCath is down 20(?) with 8 minutes to go in the 4th and score 3 straight td's including a 70 yard screen pass to take the lead with very litle time left. someone from NewCath help me out. The mud bowl between CovCath and Highlands is another, as well as T vs. H

My first time ever in Rupp was not for a UK game but the opening round of 2000 tournament. NewCath went that year and although they lost in the first round to Male I had a blast. I've gone every year since except 05 when i went to watch the Cats beat UC in the second round in Indy. My dad and my uncle have been going every year since the early 90's and go to pretty much every game. My second game was E-Town vs. LexCath when Barber took over the finals.

Is this really debatable? First there's no way the KHSAA will let it happen. 1st This Tourney brings in way to much money. 2nd Lexington will never let it happen because this tourny brings in to much money to the city. 3rd the people will not let this happen. My father and his friends have been going down for years (just like thousands of others that go all week), My brothers and I as well as many of my buddies and their fathers and buddies have gone down for years. If you would class basketball no one would go. I wouldn't go to Rupp to watch the 4A final. The tourny is a great reason to have a mini vacation in March, to hang with the guys and talk basketball. I love sitting at the night games with my dad and brothers and watching kids play that you only read about or hear about but never see. Then go back to the hotel room and talk about the games you saw that day and the next days matchups. And the first thing you think about on Sunday morning when you get up is that the state tourney is only 361 days away. To class basketball would inevitably take away all of this. The Sweet Sixteen is the greatest show on earth for a reason, because it's special. I say all this to say I played football-never basketball- at a large 1A school and we never got past the second round in my 4 years. But I didn't complain, beacuse I knew that making it hard was what made it special to win.

I'm more a first time long time kind of guy. While I have no dog in this fight I believe (with what I have heard and read about Brossart) that if Wolfe and brossart are your two finalists then it's a win win situation. Wolfe will be a great head coach one day when he gets his chance and Brossart having head coaching experience in Ohio (and yes it is a different animal regardless of what some may think) is only a plus.
