I know one thing, those Jackets must have a contract with Mad Jacks Fireworks in Oneida, Tn......I can hear them shooting Pyro in the background on the radio all the time. Are they shooting them off for Coach Rains as well when his team scores? Maybe they think it is the 4th of July....lol. Or they are using all the stash to finish the year.

I agree. Fumbling inside the 10 and throwing one interception in the endzone are sure signs the Hounds were not sharp tonight. But they still won by 22 points.

Will LCA score 80 points tonight? Coach Rains has had a big homecoming at Rose/ Stanfill stadium. LCA have flexed their muscles tonight.

Jackets are fading fast. I thought their season schedule would catch up with them. Lots of talent and potential on this Jacket team. Great regular season looks to be coming to an end.

Might be old-timers setting in on HDE....lol I know my mind is not what it used to be a few years ago. I use the excuse of my diabetes and my gout for my memory loss.

Hounds had a bunch of 5'8 guys on the JV and Knott had a bunch of tall athletic kids who saw considerable varsity minutes. Corbin's best JV kids did not play. Hopkins has a broken arm, Matt Taylor is still playing football and Travis Smith only played 9th and Varsity. So they might make a difference, maybe not. The score was 20-25 at the half then things went south in a hurry. Hopefully the JV will improve when the new kids arrive.

Bath has had a nice season. I look for Corbin to be a little better than most of teams the Wildcats have faced and thus be able to beat Bath 42-14. I saw Bath earlier in the season get beat by Williamsburg. I suppose they have improved alot since that time. It would be a huge upset for Bath to beat Corbin at Corbin in the playoffs. Stranger things have happened.

Maybe Coach Herron will borrow the green folder from the Fonz this week and break out some secret plays to steal the victory. Better yet he may try to convience some of the Jacket players to act as Captain Insano did and " Show No Mercy". Some Tackling fuel might help as well against the Eagles of LCA.

Corbin 79-69 over Knott County. Stamper had 34 for the Patriots, Cox added 14. Five Hounds scored in double figures led by Josh Crawford with 19 points. Corbin was up 79-61 with 1:30 left, subbed down and Knott closed the gap. Both teams looked good at times and rough at times. Knott has great guard play and if their inside game comes around could win a lot of games. Corbin has to improve on the defensive end and share the ball like they did the second half. Knott led for most of three quarters then seemed to get tired late in the game, which affected their shooting abilty. Hounds should know where they stand a bit better after the GRC game this week.

Lynn Camp plays in the KBA showcase at Rupp Arena. I think Knox, South and Whitley are all playing in the same event as well. I thought Corbin was playing GRC in a scrimmage game in the next few days.

Fort Campbell did not lose many players from last years team? I hear they are really, really good. If Corbin can advance that far this season has been an incredible success.

I heard Tim Truitt was taking over this year. Not sure, but that is the name on the KHSAA coaching list. That is always a good place to look when you are in doubt of a coaches name....

Interesting name indeed. Good Coach with a potential to draw some players out that have not been playing for the Jags.

I agree. I could see a few coaches at smaller schools being attracted to the position. It would be a chance to coach at a large school, lots of talent, great place to play and a community hungry for success. I am sure some will inquire in due time.

Not sure if any coaches with teams still in the playoffs would want to apply at this time. There are several local head coaches and top assistants that may throw their name in the hat once their season is complete.

Terry or Jimmy Dyehouse?

Somerset appeared to be a young team this season. They did not seem to have a lot of big kids and thus it was tough for them to contain the Corbin running game. Corbin is starting to look like a team that can make a run deep into the playoffs. The off week comes at a good time for the Hounds as well.

Whitley may have their best team ever this season. James V.Black will find a way to lead to them the win this week against Rockcastle. Whitley 35 Rock 14. I think the Colonels have an air attack they might be about to unleash.

That is not good news. At least it may run its course before the playoffs start in the Tri-Counties.

How are the injuried and sick Hounds looking for Friday night? Will anyone who has been out return? I heard several Hounds were under the weather with stomach and such as well this week.

Sure sign of an evenly called game...both thought calls went against them....but the Coach at WHS said his team was making alot of mistakes and they would correct those once they got their receivers back in practice. Coach Herron is not one to make excuses.

Radio Crew said the Officials came from Harlan....I think the Jackets were better than the Wildcats. Maybe they can have a re match in a few weeks to settle the score.
