I think it will be settled February the 11th at the district meeting in Williamsburg. It is head to head, then road wins, then coin toss. To the best of my knowledge. Corbin won at Corbin, South won at South. Whitley is the number 3 seed and Williamsburg is the number 4 seed.

Cunningham led Wburg with 14 points. Smith led Corbin with 19. Williamsburg did not score the entire second period and things went South as the Hounds scored 23 points in the second frame. Hounds won the first period by a score of 16-10. So 39-10 at the half. I think Johnson and Crawford also scored in double figures. Most of the fourth was played by subs for the Hounds.

How are the seeds looking for the 52nd district?

Williamsburg is out numbered 3 to 1 in favor of seeding. I am sure if they had their say in things, the luck of the draw would be the Jackets choice. Lynn Camp, Bville, Pineville are 3 class A schools in with one large one. I would say if they were forced to play a two game seeding format that district might take another direction as well. Comparing those situations to the mess in the 49th is not applicable.

It was 44 degrees by 6:00pm, last night . I am not sure what the gate will be,what the temperature will be, but I sure hope this game gets to be played without disruptions tomorrow. Whitley and Bell county were able to get their game in yesterday and Bell was travelling a much farther distance.

I would think since South cancelled and Corbin was willing to travel yesterday it would be a forfeit for the Cards. Not sure what the seeding policy is, but years ago when Wburg refused to play the other district teams they were forced to take the bottom seed. I am sure this game will be played sooner than any of the dates you mentioned 4CHS. My guess is this week.

What kind of crowd do you expect for the Hoopfest? I was planning on catching a game or two this weekend if a man can find a seat.

Middlesboro Yellow Jackets won over Harlan. Jackets are one of the most talented teams in the 13th. Coach Strange will have to dig deep into his bag of tricks to beat the Jackets tomorrow.

He is almost automatic when his teammates give him the ball in the paint. It is scary to think what kind of numbers he could put up with a few more touches.

From all indications Whitley will be without Lebanion for a few days. Apparently he is resting and trying to get better in time for District. Maybe Les or Magnum can shed some light on the situation.

Well to be honest me and Roscoe might have to cut our own soundtrack soon.....Basketball Blues...or some like that. We are both musical geniuses from what I hear. I am more of the Instrumental type and he can provide the vocals. We may give the Marshall Trucker band a run for their money next year at NIBROC.

Maybe you could assign officals next year Les, lol. Be sure to get them into shape first thing. Some off season road work might be a good first step.

True, I would not expect the Hounds to fall off the radar the next few seasons. Coach P has a fine staff that does a good job of readying the next troup to battle for the 13th region each season. I see lots of good players coming up next year to help Manns, Wilson and Johnson. Travis Smith is rounding into shape and Brody Freeman has some quickness out there on both ends. Once all the injuries heal, look for Josh Hopkins to show his talents more and more as well.

Roscoe used to coach up there. He maybe interviewing for a job up there in the near future.....he is a gem of a guy. Not sure he liked what he saw tonight though.

True, Miller was off his game that night. Knox had to play zone which allowed South to bomb away from the outside. Is it just me or does South usually score in the paint or from behind the arc? I think the Old Mastermind Roscoe will play a box and one or a inverted triangle and two or perhaps he can find a way to trapezoid Cody Miller. South will find a way to win. Coach Elam will no doubt solve a few problems from the earlier meeting against the Cards this time around. Is South playing Riverside Christian this year or is that a misprint on the schedule?

Sounds good. No doubt, South is in the driver's seat. How do you see them playing Tuesday against Knox? This should be a good test for the Cards. If they do have their legs back?

How much size does Madison Central have this year? Who called the game Les? South is still the regional champion until someone beats them when it counts in the district or regional tournament. St. John should be a Division 1 player, back to the basket post players are not a dime a dozen these days. If he can go to a school that plays all zone defense he probably has a shot.

Looks like all the good coaches are rooted in Harlan. When was the last state championship from that County?
