I believe it will be the team that battled sw that shows up, somerset never quit in that game and I think they will be rewarded for it tomorrow night, I just hope they can get a running game going.

I say Danville by a touchdown but I dread to see Boyle when district rolls around.

Somersetfootball, that was the win against Louisville Central not Waggner in 2003. Pulaski had a shootout with Waggner that year the score resembled more of a basketball game than a football game not for sure what the score was though.

The biggest win in my 4 years at sw was in the first round of the playoff's against Louisville Central we was major underdogs, we was down 13-0 at halftime and came back and won 20-19 in what I think was one of the biggest upsets in the playoffs that year.

I am not sure of his stats maybe some Somerset fans out there can help me but I have to give credit to John Cole from Somerset, i'm not for sure but I think it was like 14 catches for 200+ yards and 4 touchdowns.

Southwesterns oline play was so much better friday night. Hampton, Smart, and SW's new threat Lovins will run wild. I look for SW to have another track meet this week and win 35-20

That number 4 seed if you can remember should have been a number 1 seed because many of their players sat out due to suspensions a few games in which they had lost, now grant it that is no excuse for losing but that should have been for the region not first round. But it is just funny how things work out though SW's best team in 99 and Somerset decides to only play one county team a year. Now don't get me wrong I have all the respect in the world for Somerset for I have many friends who have played there but it just seems funny that would be the year to say "hmm i am only going to play one county team this year." Congratulations to Somerset for being the paper champions I look forward to a good football game tonight and good luck to both teams and I hope everyone is injury free.

If my memory is right wasn't there a "few years" when Somerset would not play SW? The Scott Blair and DT Boone years, but that is a whole other topic.

strongopenyon I can garuntee you those lineman have been working out 5 to 6 days a week since november, Coach Girdler takes pride in having the top offense and defensive lines, he settles for only the best out of his big men.

I think mc will be on the rise in the next few years. If memory is correct they was playing in the Pulaski Co. youth league. That is a great feeder program and those kids should now be in high school, i wish them good luck and keep up the hard work. :thumb:
