Class 6A - Madison Central @ Male Predictions
As Slapfest mentioned, Tyler Mays has been doing it all for this team as of late in all 3 phases of the game. He is going to have another great game if MC is to win. Male's losses (Louisville Central, Eastern, Ballard, and Manual) make me think this Madison Central team could give them a lot of the same problems that these 4 did. I think Madison Central wins 38-35 and sets up a huge rematch @ Scott County.

Brrrrrr!!!! Cold This Friday
I know there is a rule in some school districts that if you don't have school, you don't play ANY games (in any sports) that same day. There were a lot of closings this morning on the news, could this effect any games tonight?

Male beat both by a larger margin then Madison Central did, although the Indians played these two teams in nasty conditions and had big leads in both games. Common opponents are a wash IMO. This is only the 2nd meeting between these two programs to my knowledge. Madison Central beat Male in either the 1981 or 1982 season in Louisville.

Cannon Banned?
The cannon at Scott County went off and injured a fireman or policeman infront of it after a Cardinal TD. This happened during the Madison Central game.

Madison Central 38 Bullitt Central 26
Solid game by both teams, Bullitt Central brought a big crowd. Rain affected play as it POURED the entire 2nd half...multiple turnovers by both teams. Shane King led the Indians with 3 rushing TDs, while Isaiah Kavanaugh had 135 yards rushing. Another solid game by Mr. Everything Tyler Mays. Bullitt Central QB reminded me of Jared Lorenzen and had a very nice touch on his throws. The jet plays also picked up some nice yardage for BC. The Indians came away with a few guys bruised up a little, but should be ready to go next week at Male...

Class 6A - Paul Dunbar @ Boone County
Boone won't be challenged in this game as I agree with you on Dunbar.....but a possible 2nd round game with Henry Clay, and a possible semi's matchup with either Scott County or Madison Central would be against teams they went 0-3 against.
-
Class 6A - Paul Dunbar @ Boone County
The only thing that doesn't make this 70-0 type of game is Boone's inability to have big plays.........still I like the Rebels 42-0
-
Bullitt Central/Madison Central Predictions
^Even with an 8-2 record, Bullitt Central only has a 52.8 Cantrell Rating which seems extrememly low......they are one spot ahead of 1-9 Dunbar in the rankings. Was their schedule that weak? Madison Cetnral's Cantrell Rating is 82.1

Bullitt Central/Madison Central Predictions
Bullitt Central travels to Richmond for the 1st round of the 6A playoffs. (3) Bullitt Central is 8-2 with losses to district foes Fern Creek and Male. (2) Madison Central is 8-2 with a close loss to district foe Scott County and a drubbing from Highlands.

Highlands/Bryan Station Predictions
Bryan Station doesn't have the depth or quality of skill players of Madison Central, but they do have some HUGE lineman. The Birds smaller, but quicker defense will stuff anything Bryan Station tries to run IMO. Madison Central would beat BS by at least 5 TDs and you saw what happened in Ft. Thomas last week. And I agree with UFDynasty that Station got the shaft with the tie breaker, their team is leaps and bounds better than they were the past few seasons, heck they gave away their game with 6A Lex district champ Lafayette or they would have been undefeated against the (terrible) 6A district teams they played.

Madison Central 22 Boone County 16
The 3rd pick was a bomb in the endzone at the end of the 1st half so that is a mulligan IMO.....the other two were just bad throws that the MC DB made a good jump on.....and I really don't blame Boone's coach at all for grinding it out against MC, they have traditionally struggled to stop the run
-
Madison Central 22 Boone County 16
Granted I haven't seen Male or Fern Creek play, but I could see Madison Central, Boone County, Henry Clay or Scott County come out of the semis.....all these teams are pretty evenly matched and should provide for some intense playoff games.......sadly, the state championship game will be ugly, early.

Madison Central 22 Boone County 16
First off, hats off to Boone County, they brought a nice crowd and probably should have won this game. They have a solid team and a rematch between these two in the semi's is not out of the question, of course if both teams advance in their respective regions. In the first half, Boone County threw 3 interceptions on 5 pass attempts. MC had a 50 yard Keyshawn Simpson TD catch called back by penalty and Zach Coldiron was picked off in the endzone by a Boone Co. DB. Halftime score 0-0. In the second half, Boone took a 3-0 lead....MC countered with an Isaiah Kavanaugh TD run to make it 7-3.......Boone County then scored 2 rushing TDs to push the lead to 16-7 with 5 minutes to go in the game. This is were the game got interesting; Tyler Mays returned the Rebel kickoff for a TD to make it 16-14. Rebels moved the ball and I think everyone in the stadium assumed the game was over when the Rebels picked up a first down with 2:30 to go.......Indians stopped the next two downs for no gain, used their last timeout and came through (finally) on 3rd down......Boone County punts to the 10 yard line on 4th down with 30 seconds to go in the game....1st down Zach Coldiron throws a 10 yard hook to Tyler Mays, who laterals the ball to Keyshawn Simpson, who goes 90 yards for the score. Crazy/amazing play that I have seen the Indians run before without any success (Lincoln game 2006, GRC 2006 are two that come to mind).....Boone gets the ball back with 15 seconds to go but is stopped. Boone County continually pounded the ball on the Indian defense but their turnovers in the 1st half killed them. I have to say I hope I see more of what I'll call the "Tyler Mays package" and the "Eddie Rose package" on offense next week against Bullitt Central. :sssh:

Final. Keyshawn Simpson scores on a 90 yard hook-and-lateral with 30 seconds to go to win in for the Indians.
