Bowling Green 1 Breckinridge County 0 (Forfeit)

I disagree. As long as there is 11 on the team, you should play the game. Whipping or not, there is a lot to be learned from playing the sport. The last thing that you want kids to learn is not to play if you are outmatched. That won't carry them very far in life. -

Camels 28-14. -
Thats because they look so lean. They have a lot of 6-2 240 that can run. They aren't fat.

I disagree. I think that a lot of the "talent" that Holmes should have up front is on the first team that you mentioned in your response. Holmes' line leaves some things to be desired. Speed doesn't matter when it can't get past the line of scrimmage. -
They are good, but the only member of their line that has comparable speed to Highland's line is their tight end.

Who will be next to win their first title?

I think Mercer County. That is, if they have never won state before. I am not very well educated in the history of their football program. -

Henry Clay has had a history of failure with some very talented football teams. I have seen Henry Clay play this season. I have also seen Highlands. I have seen Cov on T.V. Henry Clay would not match up with Highlands or Cov up front. Therefore, they are not as good of a football team. They would lose in open competition. JMO -
I think Shane Boyd got his collar bone broke in the fourth quarter in the last game of the year against Campbell that year. He was still in the game when Clay was up 49-0. IMO, a poor choice by Simpson.

It kills me to say this. Boone will eventually wear us out. They will score late. Boone 28-14

Am I blind, or has Hoover looked no more impressive on film than four teams I have seen out of Kentucky this year, and five I have seen out of Cincinatti? -

St X ran well that year, but they also used five wides. They were at best 60-40 against good football teams. BTW, Highlands won state that year because they couldn't be scored on, not because of the points they were putting up. You are going to have to go back a long way to find a AAA or AAAA team that has had a high power offense on a state champ team that didn't utilize a passing game. -
Yes I do. I remember the days when parents had higher expectations of performance in their own children, rather than wondering why Johnny is sad when he comes home because a coach pushed him out of his comfort zone. I know these kids at Boyle are used to being pushed. I just don't think the community was ready for the motivation factor that occured last week. Their is no better motivation than replacement.:scared:

Why is he still alive? There is a reason that throughout military history, desertion has been a capital crime.

I have heard that the coaches took out the varsity the other night due to an acceptance of sub standard play that is begining to emmit in their upper classmen. Transitions are never easy for upper classmen. This seems to be a motivation tactic on the part of the coach, which seems to have worked if the underclassmen scored. I think the bottom line is that the coach was sending a message, raise your level of play, or you CAN be replaced. Football is about challenges and adversity. The challenge has been presented.
