Campbell County 1994. Henry Clay in the playoffs. Camel was up by 4 with Clay 1st and goal on the eight. Camel held for four downs and got a personal foul. We held for four more downs to win the game. Eight plays inside the eight yardline.

I disagree. When it comes down to nuts and bolts, coache's families should be getting into the games free too. This is one of the little bonuses afforded to coaches other than the pay they recieve that usually doesn't cover the gas they spend coaching.

I think that it goes to the point of being classless. It simply displays a lack of respect for what coaches do for young men when you don't accept these cards. If your program is that hard up for five bucks, do a fundraiser.

The only way that it is a stupid move is if it could get players injured. Good competition never hurt anybody.

My point simply was that Bob is not trying to get away from Beechwood by going to six classes. The point I was making about Beechwood is that they should have attempted to move up, just like many of the more competetive schools in the state have chosen to do. Their competition has moved to AA. This change was made largely to eliminate disparity at the A level. They have remained in a class where them and Mayfield are likely to be in the finals almost every year. That is not challenging your program. Remember, the option to move up was there. They didn't apply for it.

It may. The fact of the matter is that there are many more schools across the state that support it than don't. However, the ones that don't know how to make a lot of noise. My personal opinion falls under the category to be the best, you must beat the best.

I haven't ever thought about it. However, I really don't think that the public private split was ever seriously considered a viable option by the Board of Control.

The six class system is being put in place largely due to the disparity found currently at the A level. NCC will have a much more difficult time winning a championship at the new AA level. Lets face fact. If Beechwood was interested in real competition, they would move up themselves. Bob has never conducted himself with anything other than class his entire career. FYI I don't think that his current non-district schedule shows that he is afraid to play Beechwood.

Ive heard that Glen Este had 18 seniors starting for them last year. I just don't see much of a blowout either direction in this game.

Sucess is certainly not due to calls, but I totally disagree that teams all over the state get calls on their home field. In NKY, our officials association calls around the area. They Certainly don't change their calls in favor of Campbell County over Dixie because they are at Campbell County. Its about your area officials having integrity. I have seen some places in this state where they simply don't. That is why those poorly rated officials rarely make appearances past the first round of the playoffs.

I wasn't trying not to be classy. I was just stating the fact that he is not going to be one of the best in the area this year with a broken jaw. Even when he gets back, he will be way behind.

I am not denying that the Camels put it on them, but there was nothing to be done. Freshmen played most of the second half. Coach Styer displayed nothing but class. However, I think that we need to remember that kids believe what they hear and read all to often. These kids deserve a great amount of respect for gutting out this sport without sucess. I wasn't trying to say we shouldn't bring up sore subjects, I am just saying that a subject like this isn't going to help out their cause.

I agree with your assessment. However, I do see NCC losing three regular season games. The other two will by Cov and Ryle. However, I think this will help them be in the hunt for another championship come playoff time.
