Like those mean coaches benching players that weren't getting the job done. Is that what coaches do in Boyle County?

Where will third game be played?

Have you never been to a Trinity X game? -
Is the TO side of Ocho Cinco showing?

Here is an idea. Don't alligator arm the football in the second series when Ed Reed is coming at you, the ball won't go off your fingertips, and lose the game by scoring a touchdown for the other team on an interception due to your scared play. Maybe the fifth catch he could have had is the reason 85 is upset. A little bit of intestinal fortitude across the middle may have backed up his mouth and earned his check yesterday. -
Teams Targeting Carson's Knee
94 Camel replied to gametime's topic in National Football League (NFL)
I thought teams were simply targeting his quarterback rating:D . -
I realize that it is early, but I look forward to the chest puffing next year when Mercer may get to see the Birds or the Colonels in AAAAA, two teams that they should be on the level with this season.
-
I can agree with that.
-
I understand the feeling that it is classless, but, there are a lot of classless moves made in buisness every day.
-
Agreed. TJ didn't attack the ball at its highest point.
-
Yes, but TJ isn't keeping himself in the news with his mouth. His tip drill also didn't wind up in the other team's hands for six. Mistakes become a lot more glaring when you can't keep your mouth shut.

He is getting the ball of in a catchable position behind a line that is giving up too much penitration. However, those balls were catchable. Those announcers were making me sick. It is very simple. Recievers, mostly this statement is for 85, go high across the middle, catch the football, get hit by Ed Reed, and earn your paycheck. Don't lose your team the football game by alligator arming a potential catch.

Don't alligator arm a football in the second series giving up an interception, and your team would have won. :fight: I little 85 scared of Ed Reed, you bet he was. -
Am I the only one that is going to bring up the fact that when 85 had to turn that read route to the middle he alligator armed the football which led to an interception off his fingertips that went for a touchdown? That was flat out scared reciever play that DEFINATELY helped lead to the loss.

I am the furthest thing from a Louisville fan that you can possibly be. However, we need to not forget that college football is a buisness. The payment in that buisness is the scholarship the player recieves. Obviously, U of L seen something they didn't like and yanked their offer of payment. Lets face the fact, in college, the kids are their for the program, not the other way around. This is a buisness descision. We will see if it panned out for them once this young man is deeper into his career.:thumb:

That was the funnest game that I have ever been to at Commonwealth.

How does missing a game hurt your yards per game on any stat?
-
OK, you are correct that this can not apply to the schools that are in Trinity's district. When your talking districts that cover several counties down state, their is a larger desparity. That desparity is very normal between Trinity and the other members of their district. My point to this thread is, how does it hurt to replay your regular season rivalries in the playoffs? One answer was that if you get beat 56-0 by a one seed, it is less exciting to play them again. My point is that you are normally going to be hurting against any one seed, except for the few exceptions, unless your one seed was one of the best in the state. I like the idea of one team coming out of each district, then one team coming out of each region. After all, shouldn't you have to win your region before you win state:D . Now I know that some people don't agree, but so be it.
-
Thats my point. In the NKY district, the four is usually competative with the one. That is not the case in the districts bought up where the one seed beat the four 56-0. There will be a much larger gate in NKY this weekend playing one another than playing Ballard, Shelby or so on. They are replays of rivalry games.
-
Here is the difference. If your four seed is so bad that they got beat by 56 they they are going to get beat that bad traveling to another district's one seed. Bad four seeds don't bring fans to far away playoff games. Your not losing out on any opponent fan's gate. If your home home fans don't attend the game because they are going to win, that is their fault. In districts that are competative with one another, this is going to lower travel cost and greatly increase the gate by having RIVALS play one another in the first round of the playoffs. I can't wait till tonight to watch Boone and Campbell play again, not to mention Ryle and Dixie. The traveling team is saving money in both cases, and the gate is going to be huge.
