Coach isn't doing so good! He was sent home thurs. and from what I am hearing he has cancer! Please pray for him! Coach Adkins is a great man and an even better friend!

I would like everyone to pray for Coach Charlie Adkins! He is in the hospital and the speculation is that he has cancer. He is in serious condition! Please keep him in your prayers.

The game was well played. I was impressed with a number of players. Of course Grim was great! Dials looked impressive at LB and Gourdouze looked good at FB. Nathan Dillion looked really good at RB! The Golden Eagles are loaded again for the next season. Should be interesting.

Coach Billy Ed Johnson (JCHS) taught me to never settle for less than my best! Coach Ray Ginter (JCHS) taught me to never make excuses. Coach Mike Baldwin (JCHS) taught me to always be tough. Coach Jim Matney has taught me to be the best I can be. These Coaches have taught me, like I hope to teach a son, one day.

I can say that Johnson Central is having a terrible time finding games. They have Belfry and Paintsville and those are the only local non-district schools that would play. I have heard that JCHS is looking in to playing more teams from WV.

I wasn't meaning that Mercer Co. was afraid. Listen I know without a doubt that JCHS contacted Mercer Co. and offered to travel in 07. Mercer Co. still had no interest in playing JCHS. All I was saying is why not play an up and coming team like JCHS? What is the deal? The only reason I could see is that these two could meet in the region final if they both win their playoff games. Still not enough for me. If they played it would be an awesome friday night. Mercer Co. is the one that stands to lose because JCHS fans travel as well as any fans around the state. This game would bring in a huge gate I can assure that.

Well for starters they could improve their non-district schedule! I have spoken to several people at Johnson Central that stated Mercer had no interest in playing the Eagles. You would think a state champion would be willing to play any up and coming program without question.

How about checking what QB has the all time record for most passing yards in a single game and you will find that he played for Coach Matney. If Coach feels like he has a passing team I am confident in his knowledge that he will pass. BTW, Sheldon Clark QB Jesse Watts passed for 651 yds. in a single game long before the Air Raid offense every hit KY.:thumb:

Hard to argue against the running game considering JCHS won 13 games and btw....Cov Cath didn't stop the JCHS running game. When you compile over 350 yds on the ground it is hard to say they ever stopped JCHS. With Ratliff being a senior and all the experience he gained last season, I can see the Eagles throwing it more often this season. But hey when you got a 2800 yd. rusher back it will be hard not let him carry the load again.

Well back up your post and tell everyone why you believe that JCHS will not make it out of the region.

McCarty has to score for the Golden Eagles to win. Crum is no BUST either. He does a very good job at the Point. After the release of Jessie Meek the Golden Eagles only return one starter. They are a young team with 1 fresh. and 2 sophs in the starting lineup. Coach Starns is a good coach and he does a great job with these kids.

Wake is getting an awesome kicker. Congrats to Shane and I will be keeping up with his career.

Tackett and Johnson from JCHS were great players. The best LB that I seen all year was Flynn from Cov. Cath

I believe you are right my friend. JCHS has some problems at this point in the season. They will have to find a way to get it done, or it might be a long season for these kids.
