Didn't realize that there was a KHSAA rule about the heat index. Good move by the decision makers to still get the game in.

I think changing the time of the game for weather is a joke. This is football. Play at whatever time the game was originally scheduled.

I root for teams in the following order 1. Camels 2. Highlands 3. Beechwood 4. Newport 5. Bellevue 6. Conner 7. Dixie 8. Boone Co I always root against Covcath and mostly against Newcath. I think Louisville St x is a joke for their showings against Cincy teams. I have a lot of respect for Trinity, Male, and Lexcath in other parts of the state.

I'm going to actually be pulling hard for Belfrey. I just don't think they have any chance.

The Red Devils eeked out a win last yr over Newport because I guy shanked an extra point or something. That same Newport team lost to Nc by about 40 pts last year. I'm not a Newcath fan by any means, but I know they will whip poor old Belfry.

Why not just get lights and play on Friday night like the rest of the country?

What weapons has Scott ever had? I don't understand it. It's the nicest school in Kenton County high school system. Nice facilities, large school grounds. I know Dixie is putting money into their location, but talk about gridlock. That would make anyone go crazy if they had to deal with that mess everyday.

Is the game really going to be at Highlands? Saw the schedule in the paper today. If the game was played somewhere that could hold 10,000 people at $10 each, that's $100,000. I guess Highlands can afford to leave a lot of money on the table. For my next question? If it's really at Highlands, what are the chances of anyone getting a ticket?

Dixie will be kicking off exactly one time. Maybe 2 is the 63-7 score I predicted holds up. If Dixie has any sense, they will punt it out of bounds on every punt. That'll be often.

Despite all the latenight hanging at the bar during the week, I'm picking Newcath to win by a comfortable margin of 35-12. Newcath usually has some decent size and can stuff Belfry's running game. You can blow out Newcath with speed, but I don't think Belfry will have that type of speed based on the past history of Belfry teams. Newcath will start slow like the usually do, but pull away in the 3rd quarter.

They are always overrated. I want an offense that can run between the tackles as well as pass. The Qb running every other play is not exactly a passing offense. The Qb last year was basically a running back who when pressured dumped off passes or ran. I still believe it was a "chuck and duck" offense. It kept the Covcath defense of the field way too long and led to defensive breakdowns. I don't think you win state titles with strictly a shotgun formation and a QB who runs around haphazardly.

Smoking, Drinking, it's a bar with food. People go there to drink beer and watch games. It's not like the team is there at 6pm for dinner. They are hanging around at 10pm. I'm not saying there's not worse places, but what ever happened to early curfew on week nights? I can't see very many coaches approving of guys hanging out there during the season. After the season it may be a little different if they want to hang out at the bar.
