Trinity just let Eastern run all over them tonight with backs that are good but not close to the X runners. Trinity will come to play on the O side but that D is going to lose this rematch for them. We have great kids on the the D side of the ball this year, it just kills me to watch such bad or lack of technique. As an old D guy for the Rocks my heart says we can but I have not seen the changes needed to stop or even slow the X offense this year.

I am sure you do as X wants T as bad as they wanted them during the regular season. Trinity has gotten better but have they gotten good enough. I think the Eastern game will tell a lot about how far this T squad has come. I look for the rocks to run the ball and then run some more on Eastern. TP is the key to Trinity winning out the remaining games. I think we saw some of that against Ballard late in the game.

Trinity needs for Ballard to play the best game they have all year. We need to be pushed to improve, it is games such as these that make teams better. We do not learn anything about ourselves by playing teams we have already beaten by the halftime. Go Rocks, push to improve.

Ballard is a good team and has made great stides this season under a new coach, but this Trinity group still has much to prove in weeks to come. Rocks Roll in this one.

X is not a passing team, rain or shine nobody has stopped that running game this year; X big in this game.

Ox great idea, I would like to see the game again to help me understand what T was doing well in the first half as the scoring was low until the run away forth quarter. I came away thinking that T had some very good time consuming drives but X just had really good red zone D to punch it in.

Two to three weeks of practice time will tell the tale. Glad to see them back. Go Rocks :fight:

Only X has been able to slow the offense of Trinity and that has only happened in the regular season. The offensive scheme for the Rocks is very difficult to learn, just so much of it.

Correct about the D for the rocks this year but it is not the kids, T has plenty of talent on that side of the ball. As to the live and die with the run comment I made, I stand by that. Running is the bread and butter of the X offense, if forced to pass they are not in the comfort zone. Passing (play action)because you are playing a team that can not stop the running game is just smart coaching.

No, I have great faith in Cov but he cannot play for the kids. I even like the bunch we have but they have had little time to gel in this very complicated offense. The reason we come back and beat X in the playoffs(State these past few years) is that we are a well oiled machine come late in the year and no matter what bean does or does not do X could not stop our Offense enough to win. No having said that I have stated many times that Mr.B's scheme is going to cost us agian(04 was the first time) when our offense is not at its very best. i do not like his game plans say for 2005 when he was using more of our old scheme to handle X. Hey they have not changed what they are doing for over 25yrs. Even this year they live and die with the run. X is a force and has been throughout our long run, I just don;t see the offense coming alive enough to compensate for Mr. B's bad scheme. Hope I am wrong, .as I said in another post that is why we play the games

Yes he will have a good maybe great game if T had an OL for him to run behind. Hey these kids are not the same players with a lot of starts as has been the case in the past hence they needed to make it through the season healthy so as to gel for the playoffs, that has not happened. I just do not see the Rocks pulling the reversal in the playoffs this year on X, but that is why we play the games.

The OL has been beaten up badly since the Eastern game and I just do not see the Rocks coming together enough in that area to gel for a badly needed running game. Paulino has been playing hurt most of the season.

It is getting very late in the year and the OL is still up in the air for the Rocks. To beat X we need to be able to run the football so that our D is not on the field giving up huge gains to the X offensive running game. Not sure the Rocks have the beef up front to pull that one off this year.

Question is can Trinity get a OL to gel before week four of the playoffs.
