SC flat out beat Highlands. Nothing more to say. No excuses. Hope Hergott (wrist) and Gosney (knee) are both okay.

Warren Central had some athletes that played entire game. When they looked tired, they would scamper for another 60 yard score. I know there was a lot of subbing in players in 2nd and 3rd quarters but that was most of the starters. WC is for real. I give them credit for hanging tough when they were down 42-7. Lots of great players for WC. Numbers 6, 8, 9, 10 were fast. Hoge laid a lick on #34 and that kid looked like he got hit by a truck. Very impressed with Hoges passing tonight. A lot of drops in the end zone that were right on the money.

I think you're right CF. I think there are only 30-40 teams per class.

When we won in '92 and were on the bus leaving it was 3-0 X over Mr. Alexander and his Boone Co Rebels. That was the closest anyone has come to winning the big boy trophy. That was when it was 4 classes. If someone were to win 6A from NKY to say it would be monumental would be an understatement. Plus, I think UKFAN and NEERFAN would probably have to take a month off to celebrate.

It required him to completely turn around and make a blind catch over his outside shoulder. That is the #97 I was talking about. He's an ATHLETE. Not big or anything just very, very, very good. Can't wait to see him and Jakie Whitford catching passes next year from whomever is the starting QB.

Does he look better in person? I saw a lot of yards after the catch. He has good size but didn't seem to have breakaway speed. He runs a lot when I think he would serve better as a pocket passer.

None of the chain people did anything wrong. If anything, they were merely assisting the ref in the exit to his vehicle as per KHSAA requirements. I truly think they saved him from making the mistake of walking back onto the field as he was trying to do.

Not saying PT was bad at all. Hergott has so much raw talent and has better footwork than Towles in my humble opinion. If you can get ahold of any JV film look for Jake Whitford. He is # 2.

If so, then congrats ahead of time. Have you started planning the assembly at school after the game, the parade, the floats, and will December 9th be declared Simon Kenton day in Independence? Have you planned your trip to Frankfort? Do they still invite the state champs to get their picture with the Governor in the Capitol? They did when I played. Have you ordered your state champ patches for the letter jackets? Have you started your schedule searching for next year as best team in the state and stop scheduling teams under 4A? Will your boosters have enough money to help with the state rings? Since you've already declared yourself the winner, you better get busy on these things.

I'm 6'2" and did the chains for the JV Elder game and didn't realize his size till he was standing right next to me. It reminded me of when I was at the NFL combine and met Dave Ragone. Hergott is a monster that can run, throw, and hit. He's one of those kids that you may not know before seeing him in a game but by the end of he game you'll be asking his stats, grade, etc. Textbook prototypical QB or even Tight end. Here's another name for you-Jake Whitford. Elder got sick of hearing that Saturday morning "Hergott to Whitford, and another Bluebird first down." Write it down, Hergott will be better than Towles, and Whitford is comparable to a high school version of Megatron. No one could guard him Saturday. His height and reach over theElder db's was unfair. I know he's got Baseball on his mind but football could be a great fallback plan.

It's called sarcasm. I know PP and he's a good dude. Even ate pizza with us in cake town. He is just putting his sarcastic spin on it. People sometimes misinterpret his sarcasm and others like mine with being literal.
