This has the makings of a damn good game.

I do not think it will be high scoring game like last year but I do think it will be a good game. I think WV being at home is a big advantage.

One thing that puzzles me is Lloyd easily beating Gallatin County (28-0) early in the season, and Gallatin beating Walton in a close game. I can't see Lloyd being four scores better than the Bearcats so what am I missing as I compare these scores?

Everytime I try to compare scores I get confused because it rarely turns out that it is accurate for predictions.

Comparing scores is useless. Its all about matchups. Lloyd is banged up so I think WV wins easily

I agree comparing scores is not a good barometer, especially when it is early season games vs. late season games. Teams improve, evolve, change personel and deal with injuries over the course of the season.

 

The fact that there is no clear cut visible reason to pick either team is what makes this game seem like it will be a good one. It is hard to predict. I'll give the edge to the Bearcats with home field advantage.

I completely agree. That's why I asked if I was missing something. I know Lloyd isn't four scores better than Walton, yet they were that much better than Gallatin. Someone posted Lloyd is banged up and maybe they played Gallatin early enough in the season that everyone was still healthy and they are playing with a different deck now.

 

I think this is a pretty good matchup, in that there is no way I'd pick either team with any confidence. If you twisted my arm, I'd take Walton, but I can't give you a solid reason why.

As usual no love for the Juggernauts, about being banged up I know the starting running back is out however, his backup has done a tremendous job and is definitely a threat to break one at any time. I would not take the Jugg's lightly and this game will be decided in the trenches on both sides of the ball. I will take the Jugg's in a close game. GO JUGGERNAUT's. These two teams have a nice little playoff rivalry going on. JD
