WC just gained a tremendous young man and people can say whatever they want, but he will be missed by the Birds. I will miss watching his athleticism and raw ability to rip the ball out of the sky. He singlehandedly kept Birds in Elder game last year.

Glad to hear its Brady. I predict that his "support staff" of all the varsity coaches etc. will mentor him just fine. I will rest easy now. Good kid and great family. Congrats to Mr. Dowling.

Uhlbricht is getting married right in middle of season this year, actually not even coaching FTJFL this year. That's a loss. He's great with the kids. I wish him the best. I've known him since we were little.

If I had a clue about coaching, I would love to. I'll stick to armchair QB!

Yes. I, as Weinrich played for Duffy. I will never forget what Duffy always said and it helped my running so much. Run like you are holding a potato chip in your fingers. The point of the exercise was to not clinch your fists while running. It was a great analogy. Does this mean Jingle-Jangles, County Fairs, and Breaking Down the Field are back?

The first uptick after a dark December in the Fort. Can't wait to see coach Weinrich take the reigns.

Anyone that's been around HHS and has common sense knows Weinrich is the next head coach. Lickert may get a formality interview but Brian is a seamless hire. There will be no drastic changes but maybe his own personal touch to the already successful system. Not to disrespect Steven, but Weinrich has put his time in and had success.

When scott and SK fans come out to talk smack that's when I know its just the pent up agression of several years of following/being part of a statistically unsucessful prgrams. It is what it is. A loss. When I was in high school Scott was 0-40. Simon Kenton wasn't much better as their male athletes were choosing cheerleading over a dismal football program. Please be careful what you wish for. You may get your shot at eating your own crow. Yes, we only have a mere 22 state titles tied for the most with another truly outstanding prgram. I only have a few questions while eating my crow. Do you know what it feels like to sacrifice so much and to be rewarded in december with a state title? Do you know what it feels like to have that patch sewn on your letter jacket? How it felt when you slipped that state champion ring on the first time? How was it meeting the governor in Frankfort? Shawn Alexander doesn't even know that feelng! Do you? If not, then you should try it sometime. Now my family only has 5 combined. Maybe you could should shoot for 1.

Collins wanted it and HHS seemed flat at times. Congrats Collins on a great win. Ukfan, we win with class and we will lose with class. Nothing you can say to take that away. I think I was bad luck for HHS and NCC. Lost composure at the end with that unsportsmanlike penalty. I'll take watching our team lose at state any day over not getting there EVER! GO BIRDS! 23 in 14!

Desales has 87 guys on their roster and they are all good.

Desales pretty much having their way with it now. NewCath has been very 1 dimensional in 2nd half. Not looking good.
