True about OC but everyone said we were down the past 2 years after the '03 season with Barnard, Wathan, Lanham, and the Martin twins. Mercer's tough but we aren't afraid. We've been underdogs before.

Ft. Campbell said the same thing last year against us at their home.

Two years ago at Corbin, OC brought 1500 to the game which was a 4 1/2 hour trip for us. I think this is a 2 1/2 hour trip so distance isn't a problem

Very impressed with the defense and the run game when Walker got injuried. It actually might help the Aces going in to play Mercer because they are probably going to think pass all the time. Then after a few practices for #8, the passing will improve. Not worried for the Aces next friday.

OC might be ranked 11th in the state, but year after year they have proven to be giant killers. 04' Corbin, 05' Ft. Campbell, and 06' hopefully Mercer Co. Great game Aces after losing the starting QB in the 1st half. Coach Edge has always been good for one upset a year.

What does Trigg's speed look like?

I know he isn't coaching, but Barnes and Edge run the same style of offense. The advantage that Edge has is that he his a defensive minded coach which makes better play callers.

As long Catholic doesn't turn the ball over, i can't see how Trigg Co. expects to stop the high powered Offense. If there are TO's, then it will be a long night for catholic. But its the playoffs, and Catholic going for their 4th straight Regional Championship.

One good thing about Catholic after viewing their game with Glasgow. They were down 9-7 and momentum was on Glasgow side, they didn't even come close to pushing the panic button. Soph QB looked like a 4 year veteran. GOOD LUCK ACES

Coach Barnes has a tendency to choke in a big game. He hasn't had too many opportunities when he was with Daviess Co. Catholic is hitting their groove with the young team that they have and will continue the success under the young Coach Edge. With Coach Edge in the driver's seat i see this game repeating like the resent years. OC 34 TC 21

They are favorite to win this game, this would not be an upset. the first time OC would be an underdog is when they face Mercer Co. Trigg will be tough but catholic just has that explosive offense clicking on all cylinders now.

Coach has a bad tendency of pushing the panic button if he falls behind. Coach Edge for O'boro Catholic is always good for one upset per season and he hasn't hit that feat yet. I think Catholic will be giving Mercer a game just like the unstoppable Fort Campbell team last year.:dancingpa

Looks like a repeat for the last 2 years, (Hopefully). Trigg has beaten some quality teams on the way, but i got to root for the green and white on this one. I think that coach Edge for Catholic is always been good for one upset for the year if catholic gets the chance to play Mercer Co. Nothing to down play Trigg Co. but i think that with Edge's team clicking on all cylinders now, they are the only ones that have a shot to knock Mercer Co. off there high horse. Looking back at history, Coach Edge's brother Robert Edge prove that when they played the unstopable Harrodsburg Co. back in 96 with a 97 yard touchdown run against the high powered defense. What do you think would have happened if there was a public/private split. A lot more teams would be in a playoff. I still think it is pitiful that we are going to a 6A state. It seems to me that everyone thinks that everyone should have a state trophy. To be the best, you have to beat the best. Going 6A didn't solve a thing because the teams that complained the most are going to be in the same class as ST. X and Trinity. Way to go guys.:dancingpa

Give Coach Edge from O'boro Catholic time. 3rd year as head coach and has appeared at Papa John's twice. Let's not forget when he was the D coordinator for Owensboro High in 01 and 02 and went twice. Only bad thing is that he hasn't broke his maiden yet. He is due though. I really don't think this year, but that is what everybody has been saying about him the last two years as well. GO ACES!!!!!
