WHAT A GAME SHAME THE EXTRA POINT WAS MISSED

Excellent game. Tough break for Trigg on that missed XP.

heck of a game to listen to.

Hats off to both teams on a great game. OCath's seniors made the big plays when they had to. Trigg lost all three of their running backs to injury in the second half and still made a game of it. Good Luck to the Aces next week against the juggernaut that is Mercer County.

They'll need it.

Great win tonight for the Aces. :thumb:

One that is for certain...Coach Edge knows how to coach his team through the playoffs... 11-2 in post season play since 2004!

Very impressed with the defense and the run game when Walker got injuried. It actually might help the Aces going in to play Mercer because they are probably going to think pass all the time. Then after a few practices for #8, the passing will improve. Not worried for the Aces next friday.

you guys should have been there - it was a great game and a tough loss for our guys - they really had every chance to win the game and to pull ahead by 2 td's several times but just couldn't get it done - i have to say that i am not really one to criticize refs but there were several face masks calls on us and several missed fumble calls - especially the OT fumble but all in all, both teams played well and we beat in a lot of situations - good luck to catholic this week against mercer

GREAT SEASON TRIGG!!!!!!!!! (especially since it was supposed to be our rebuilding season - look out the next few years - hehe)

that should say - we beat ourselves in a lot of situations that we had to opportunity to make the outcome different - sorry for the typo

Ijames knee was down before the ball came out according to the TV replay. I thought the officiating was even. They even marked off a penalty distance wrong against OCath in the second quarter. The two plays that hurt Trigg the most was the two fumbles right after OCath turnovers and the running into the punter call that kept the Aces drive alive instead of getting the football at midfield with 2:00 left.

The fumble in OT was not even close to a fumble. I watched the replay of the game and his whole body was on the ground when the ball came loose. Also the face mask penalties were obvious if you were to watch the replay, those calls were as easy as any in the whole game.

I am sure you can see the face masks calls much better on the replay! I was obviously in the trigg county stands and from there it didn't look like it but it's all good! Again, on the OT fumble, my vantange was a lot worse than a replay vantange, I am sure! It's all good, we had every opportunity to win but just didn't get it done! The officiating was pretty even and definately a lot more even than in previous years and again, I am not one to complain or blame refs that much! Doesn't really do any good because u can't change it and we're all human! It was a great game and I am afraid to say, even if we would have won, this week would have likely been the end either way! Mercer is a great team and it will take a near perfect game to beat them but it's always doable! I am just glad I was in the stands for last weeks game because it was probably the best football game I have ever witnessed and I have been to a lot of them! GREAT SEASON TRIGG!!!!! Look out for us next year because we have a lot of people back, if we can just keep our coach in place! Good luck Aces this week! Bring on basketball season!!!!!
