North Bullitt with 228 yards rushing in the first half ... like I said in the other thread, Lone Oak hasn't seen a rushing game like North's this season.

Nice win for the Colts ... looks like playing some tough teams in season is paying off for DeSales.

I came in with 3 minutes left in the half ... great game from what I've seen. It may take 60 to win. Sounds like North's defense was holding pretty decent though with Lone Oak only have two TD drives, but that last one was impressive.

27-14 North ... pretty much what I expected. Lone Oak really hasn't played anyone the caliber of North all year long. Lone Oak has the offense to come back although they have only scored once on offense so far.

Coach Reidinger ... It was 4th and 1 and they took a shot .. if they get the first down they run out the clock and win. Their punting game had been brutal all year and if memory serves they would have been kicking to Kelvin Turner. Once Reidinger was run out of town the program went straight down hill to the total mess it is today.

I can see why you have nothing but respect for him.

HC is an extremely undisciplined team, due to the fact that the coaches let the kids do whatever they want with no punishment. They are very easy to knock out of their gameplan. Once they get frustrated they commit stupid fouls and quit. If Beechwood has a good first quarter they win by 4 TD's.

North has no one on their O-Line under 270 .... I think this is going to be a very good close ball game ... IMO it will be every bit as good as Bell Co. vs. Lex Catholic. North won't be underestimating LO, I would suggest LO not think they can just show up and pass all over North. Like I said before hard to throw the ball if the Offense isn't on the field. When BE lost to North in the playoffs North had the ball for 34 minutes and BE has a solid defense. North only loses when they make mistakes. East might have been the only team that beat them this year that North didn't shoot themselves in the foot. If they hold onto the ball and don't committ stupid personal fouls, they are as good as any 4A team in the state. FWIW, North is my team's bitter rival, so I'm not a homer when it comes to them.

They will get their first real test this Friday against North Bullitt ... should see if they are for real.

Just like time2punt said .. they saw just as good of a passing game against Shelby County. Alex Matthews, IMO, is the best QB in the state. Also to be fair, Lone Oak has played no one the caliber of North Bullitt all year long and LO definitely has not faced a RB as good as Dalton Cissell. It is hard to pass all over a team if your offense is rarely on the field. Also I'm pretty sure LO hasn't played against a safety as good as RD Reynolds is either, if you throw his way there is just a good of a chance it will be 6 the other direction. I could be totally wrong and Lone Oak could win big, but I have a feeling North will win a close one.

This should be a very good game. I won't make the trip just because it's not my Bullitt East team going but would love to listen or watch it.

He is only a junior and is getting close to 5000 career yards if he hadn't passed it already. Not sure about his college offers, time2punt might have more info on that. I think it will be a close high scoring game, North can score on anyone if they protect the ball. They struggled defensively early in the season but have been tough the last few weeks. They pass almost as well as they run. Reynolds lines up at WR and QB on offense and is a quality player at either position. He is almost as good of a runner as Cissell.

North usually travels pretty well. They have an excellent team and when they lose it is usually because of something they did. They have a tendancy to turn the ball over and committ dumb penalties. When they don't they are very tough to beat. If Dalton Cissell is able to get going in the first quarter it will be a long night for the Lone Oak defense as he tends to gather steam as the game goes on. When RD Reynolds is on the field on offense, Lone Oak will need to have a spy on him. I would advise no matter how good Lone Oak's QB is he should not throw in Reynolds direction. He is a D1 talented safety. North's O-Line is huge .. not sure they have a guy under 270 on it. I think this is a very interesting game. Contrast in styles and IMO the best team Lone Oak will have faced this year. Should be an excellent measuring stick.
